The Director of Media and Partnership Sales role at AEW is a unique opportunity to drive significant revenue across our sponsorship and media verticals. This individual will be able to work with various internal and external business units, media partners, agencies, and brand stakeholders, enhancing and accelerating AEW’s media and sponsorship sales partnerships.

 

SUMMARY
​

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Deliver on individual and team revenue goals through the selling of integrated media and partnership packages using traditional, digital, and other non-traditional marketing channels to meet partner objectives

  • Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with both current and potential corporate partners

  • Relentlessly prospect and drive outreach to potential partners

  • Contribute to a collaborative sales environment by working closely with all internal and external business units, media partners, talent representatives, venue, and other brand stakeholders

  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities

  • Optimize revenue generation through data-centric pricing strategies, creative marketing campaigns, and fully integrated partnerships

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of AEW

  • Create and provide applicable reports – internally and externally

  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS
 

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude

  • Must function at a high level in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities

  • Self-sufficient, proactive, and solutions-oriented

  • Skilled in all aspects of sales and negotiation

  • Appreciate and understand the value of data-induced decision making

  • 5+ years of experience in national media sales

  • Preferable experience working with live events in sports or entertainment

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed

  • Ability to travel as required

  • The position is open to remote candidates

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

​

  • Salary Range: $85,000 - $210,000

  • Competitive health insurance plans including medical, dental, vision, LTD, and life insurance.

  • Employees are eligible to participate in company 401k after 6 months of employment; Match is 100% for the first 3%, 50% for the next 2%. 

  • 16 weeks of parental leave 

  • Flexible time-off policy
