COLLISION
TAG TEAM CONTEST...
FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs. MxM Collection (Mansoor & Mason Madden)
Mansoor and Mason Madden, collectively known as MxM Collection, made their highly-anticipated Ring of Honor debut last night at DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2024 with a victory over Angelico and Serpentico, but that wasn't the only impact they had in Arlington. Without missing a beat, the two men also hard words for former 2-Time AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR ahead of making their All Elite Wrestling debut tonight on COLLISION.
Cash and Dax have their sights firmly set on reclaiming the AEW World Tag Titles, on beating The Young Bucks, and on Wembley Stadium, but they've got a fight on their hands tonight before that can remotely become a reality! MxM Collection were quite impressive in their victory last night, but can they achieve the same success against one of the greatest tag teams in professional wrestling today? It's a huge opportunity for Mansoor and Mason Madden to make an immediate impression on the AEW faithful and the tag team division, but are they up to the task of taking down Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood?
TRIOS MATCH...
The Conglomeration (ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe, Kyle O'Reilly, & Tomohiro Ishii)
vs.
The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, & Josh Woods)
After fighting his heart out at DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2024 last night in the ROH World Title bout with Roderick Strong, Mark Briscoe is right back in action tonight with The Conglomeration at his side! Tonight they step into the ring with The Premier Athletes, a unit of incredibly gifted professional wrestlers, for some Trios action! With The Patriarchy newly-crowned as champions, that division is looking incredibly hot right now, and either of these teams has the skills to challenge for those belts. Are we looking at a team that could potentially step to Christian Cage and his ilk down the line?
ONE-ON-ONE...
“The Bastard” PAC vs. Lio Rush
The results of DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2024 are making quite an impact of this edition of COLLISION as Lio Rush, a man who nearly became ROH World Television Champion last night, looks to rebound from his elimination during Survival of the Fittest 2024 with a victory over “The Bastard” PAC!
Aside from their mutual involvement in the Forbidden Door Casino Gauntlet match, these two men have never shared a ring prior to tonight, and their combination of skills is sure to make for a tremendous fight. What's possibly most worrisome about the bout though is what PAC, along with Penta and Fenix, did in CMLL just last night after their 2/3 Falls Trio bout with Mascara Dorada, Mistico & Volador Jr; it's clear from those actions that “The Bastard” intends to live up to that moniker more than ever, and with an International Championship match in his back pocket, he also aims to keep using whoever is in the ring with him to send a message to the champion.
SINGLES MATCH...
“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy vs. Johnny TV
Last night at DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2024 Johnny TV was one of five men whose hopes of becoming ROH World TV Champion were spoiled by Atlantis Jr. outlasting everyone in Survival of the Fittest 2024 to retain his title. Suffice to say it did not make Johnny a happy man, especially when he was eliminated by Brian Cage after they'd developed a bit of an alliance, but he'll have to turn his focus towards the task at hand tonight, that being a fight with former 2-Time International Champion Orange Cassidy!
It's been almost a year since they last time these two went one-on-one, an August 11th RAMPAGE fight over that International Championship, and now they'll meet again with a whole new paradigm for Cassidy. With no more best friends, he has a new conglomeration of allies at his back, but also a distinct violent side as shown with how he took down Trent Beretta several weeks ago.
This is going to be quite the fascinating clash of styles, but it's an absolute must-see whenever Orange Cassidy is involved!
ONE-ON-ONE...
The Beast Mortos vs. Hologram
Last week on COLLISION, the mysterious Hologram made his AEW debut with an impressive victory over Gringo Loco while just last night on DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2024 The Beast Mortos made a tremendous impact in his victory over Komander. Tonight these two forces will lock horns on COLLISION in a Lucha battle that will be a sight to behold! Will Hologram turn his debut victory into the beginnings of a winning streak, or will it beat The Beast who parlays his impressive performance last night into triumph tonight?

AEW WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ELIMINATOR MATCH...
“Timeless” Toni Storm(c) vs. Taya Valkyrie
On Wednesday night fans saw “Timeless” Toni Storm return to the AEW stage for the first time since her brutal beating at the hands of “The Glamour” Mariah May in the wake of Mariah's Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament victory. With the words “Are you prepared to die? Because I am!” the AEW Women's World Champion let her former protégé know exactly where she stood as they head towards their ALL IN: LONDON 2024 championship clash. It absolutely means that path to Wembley is going to be perilous for both these woman, but with a month to go until the meet inside the ring, there is other business that must be attended to as well.
For the AEW Women's World Champion that means facing the threat of Taya Valkyrie tonight in Arlington, TX under Eliminator Match rules. What that means is should Taya defeated “The Timeless One”, she will earn the first title shot at whichever woman leaves ALL IN: LONDON 2024 with the championship title! Now this is a rematch over a year in the making, the two competitors fought at BATTLE OF THE BELTS VII in Calgary in a Women's Title fight during Storm's second championship reign, but to say Toni was a different woman then would be a drastic understatement, but what's scarier is that after what Mariah May did, who knows what facet of Toni Storm Taya Valkyrie will get to experience.
As talented a competitor as Taya Valkyrie may be, as much of a threat she is to any champion she faces, Toni Storm may be in the state of mind where no one is going to stop here until she gets to Mariah May. The flip side of that is “Timeless” being so focused on “The Glamour” that it causes her to not give anyone else she faces the proper attention. As much as Taya should be wary of what Toni Storm brings to the table at this time, she may also find tonight the best opportunity to earn a title fight and wait patiently for the outcome of ALL IN: LONDON 2024's championship bout!
CMLL WORLD WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP ELIMINATOR MATCH...
Willow Nightingale(c) vs. Deonna Purrazzo
On July 13th, at CMLL's FANTASTICA MANIA 2024 event in San Jose, CA, Willow Nightingale defeated Viva Van and Lluvia to claim the vacant CMLL World Women's Championship title. It marked a continuation of a tremendous year in which she has reigned as NJPW STRONG Women's Champion and TBS Champion for AEW, but it also meant she placed a target on herself once again. Perhaps it should come as no surprise that the first person who vocalized a desire to fight Willow in her new found position was Kris Statlander, so much so that she assaulted Willow as incentive to accept an Eliminator Match challenge. Knowing Willow, there's no way she's backing down from a fight, but before Statlander gets her chance to earn a CMLL World Women's Title match, another potential contender is stepping into the ring with Willow tonight during BATTLE OF THE BELTS XI.
Deonna Purrazzo, the woman who has found a way to dominate Thunder Rosa like no one else, is no stranger to holding a championship born in Mexico. She reigned as AAA Reina des Reinas for 252 days, even simultaneously holding that title and the ROH Women's World Title, before Taya Valkyrie dethroned her for the former. Now, coming off her Lumberjack Match victory over Rosa (where Taya played a crucial role actually), Deonna has her eyes on earning a shot at another championship whose home residence is Arena Mexico.
Tonight during BOTB XI Deonna and Willow will step into the ring with one another for the first time in AEW with a potential shot at the CMLL World Women's Title on the line for “The Virtuosa”! It's been over two years since the last time these competitors met one-on-one, and they are in fact 2-2 in their head-to-head match history since their first bout back in 2015. Can Deonna take the lead in this series and earn herself a CMLL championship match, or will Willow Nightingale claim victory in preparation for the inevitable clash with Kris Statlander?
ROH WORLD SIX-MAN CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH...
The Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, & Roderick Strong)
vs.
Dustin Rhodes & The Von Erichs (Marshall & Ross)
At DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2024 last night, Dustin Rhodes and the Von Erichs defeated Dark Order to advance to this championship fight. With The Patriarchy defeating Bang Bang Gang to claim the AEW World Trios Championship, the ROH World Six-Man Title was left vacant, but that changes tonight during BOTB XI!
Taven and Bennett escaped DBD '24 with the ROH World Tag Titles still in their possession, but Roderick Strong was unable to claim the ROH World Title from Mark Briscoe in the main event of the evening. Their bout was quite the war, so who knows what kind of condition Roddy is in for this title fight, but nothing will stop that man from fighting, especially when a championship is on the line! Will we see “The Natural”, Marshall, and Ross step up to the challenge tonight in Arlington, or will The Undisputed Kingdom bring more gold into the fold?
AEW's three-hour block of action gets underway with COLLISION at 8pm ET/7pm CT and is immediately followed by BATTLE OF THE BELTS XI all on TNT!
