ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH...
“The Nueve” Chris Jericho(c) vs. “Most Wanted” Bandido
After getting pinned by Bandido at GLOBAL WARS 2025 in their trios match, “The Nueve” Chris Jericho seems to be a bit...perturbed...to say the least. He's certainly courting doom talking to Renee Paquette the way he was in the above embedded interview, but that part is neither here nor there as it pertains to tonight's in-ring action. Tonight he has to face “Most Wanted” Bandido, himself a former ROH World Champion, in a rematch of their September 28, 2022 ROH World Championship match during Jericho's first reign with the title!
In that instance, the match came about as a result of Jericho saying he wanted to run through former ROH champions in order to prove his dominance and assert himself as the greatest ROH champion of all-time. This time around it's far more personal, and filled with quite a bit more vitriol than the previous outing. We've seen Bandido assaulted, almost driven through a table by Big Bill, but it is Bandido with the psychological advantage as he just pinned “The Nueve” five days ago at GLOBAL WARS 2025 as opposed to two and a half years back. Bandido has stayed ahead of Jericho and his Learning Tree ever since returning to AEW from injury, starting with his shock appearance at ROH's FINAL BATTLE 2024 in New York City.
Now it's a matter of Bandido doing everything he can to join the seven other individuals who've managed to secure the ROH World Championship on two occasions! Can “The Most Wanted” go down alongside RUSH, Jay Lethal, Jay Briscoe, and the others who've reached the milestone, or will he fall before “The Learning Tree” Chris Jericho as he aims to continue his own second dance with the ROH World Championship?
AEW WORLD TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH...
The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, & Wheeler Yuta)(c) vs. TNT Champion Daniel Garcia, Angelo Parker, & “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard
Last week Undisputed Kingdom took their shot at the AEW World Trios Championship but the shady tactics of The Death Riders, specifically Wheeler Yuta, kept Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong from freeing the title from Moxley's army. This week another trio will attempt to do the same, this time the unit of TNT Champion Daniel Garcia, “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker, and “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard! After engaging in their own pursuits throughout 2024, including Parker getting married and having a child, these three men reunited just a few weeks ago with eyes on becoming the dominant trio in AEW, which means adding those championship titles to the TNT Title already around Garcia's waist.
They attempted this feat together before, back in 2023 during The Acclaimed's run atop the trios division, but they were unable to take the belts from Daddy Ass, Max Caster, and Anthony Bowens. Now they set their sights on The Death Riders, in part to claim the titles and in part to take a stand against what this fearsome group has done to the rest of All Elite Wrestling since its mission began.
Will this be the night Garcia becomes a double champion while Parker and Menard collect their first AEW championships? Or will The Death Riders continue their dominance over the trios division with a ninth consecutive victory and sixth successful defense?
ONE-ON-ONE...
Hounds of Hell's Julia Hart vs. Queen Aminata
After seven months away, Julie Hart returned with a vengeance at the tail-end of 2024 and set her sights on former AEW Women's World Champion Jamie Hayter. After her DYNAMITE: FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN 2025 victory over Hayter that opened up the year, Hart had a tremendous showing in the GRAND SLAM: AUSTRALIA Casino Gauntlet. In fact she was on the precipice of victory when Toni Storm rolled her up with a small package to earn the victory and title opportunity. Hart took down Harley Cameron a few days later on COLLISION to continue her strong start to the year, but then came up short in the rematch with Hayter. It was a tremendous fight, one that led Hayter to tell Julia she'd be game for a rubber match any time and any place. In the weeks since we've watched the trio of Julia, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews step out into their own as Hounds of Hell, and tonight we will see Julia enter into competition for the first time against Queen Aminata!
The Queen comes into this first-time fight off a tremendous battle with Toni Storm two weeks ago, and would love to derail the momentum Julia is building in 2025 with possibly the most crucial victory of her AEW career. We know these women have no problem throwing down once the bell rings so this is sure to be a hard-hitting affair!
THE RETURN!
Hologram vs. LFI's The Beast Mortos
Hologram is back in All Elite Wrestling, he's ready for a fight, and what better way to get back into the swing of things than with a match against his biggest rival in AEW! In Hologram's seven singles matches to date, two of them have been against The Beast Mortos, one being that sublime 2-Of-3 Falls Match at WRESTLEDREAM 2024, but they've also faced off in tag team action, a pair of trios bouts, as well as a three-way fight with Dralistico. All of those bouts have led to Hologram getting a victory, building him up to the 15-0 record he brings to tonight's third singles match with The Beast Mortos, but there's is a rivalry seemingly destined to endure for as long as they share the same locker rooms.
Can The Beast Mortos spoil Hologram's return to action in this first match since the aforementioned WRESTLEDREAM '24 contest, or will the high-flying lucha sensation continue his undefeated roll in 2025?
SINGLES MATCH...
NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd vs. The Butcher
We haven't seen NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd in AEW-proper since the FORBIDDEN DOOR 2024: ZERO HOUR when he teamed up with Roderick Strong in a Four-Way tag battle. However, he was a participant in the AEW/NJPW/CMLL/ROH joint promotion known as WRESTLE DYNASTY on January 5th and that night he welcomed Kenny Omega back to in-ring competition in violent fashion.
Though “The Cleaner” scored the victory, Kidd made him earn it every step of the way and also made a point to let the world know just how he felt about AEW as a whole. In the weeks that followed, he and his War Dogs were embroiled in a tremendous rivalry with Los Ingobernables de Japon highlighted by trios battles throughout the ROAD TO NEW BEGINNING 2025 tour. That tour was bookended by a NJPW STRONG Openweight Title fight with Tomohiro Ishii that went to a 30-minute draw at BATTLE IN THE VALLEY 2025 and an IWGP Global Heavyweight Title match with Yota Tsuji at THE NEW BEGINNING IN OSAKA 2025 that ended in a draw when neither man could answer the referee's ten count. The wildest part of the entire event wasn't the fact neither man could stand to answer the ten count, but that EVIL returned after the match, took out both men, and told Kidd the War Dogs were evicted from BULLET CLUB!
Suffice to say Gabe Kidd has gone through one draining fight after another in 2025, and now he's returning to AEW after saying less than flattering things about us prior to WRESTLE DYNASTY 2025, and he's stepping into the ring with one of roughest, toughest men in the locker room: The Butcher! We haven't seen Butch since the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal in December, and he is ready to unleash his fury on Gabe Kidd tonight during COLLISION! Is Kidd putting in an appearance with a purpose, or showing his face to talk more trash about AEW like he leading up to that match with Kenny Omega? Tune into COLLISION tonight on TNT to find out!
THE OPEN CHALLENGE CONTINUES!
We may legally have to call “Platinum” Max Caster “The Best Wrestler Alive”™, but thus far the Open Challenges he's fought since The Acclaimed's acrimonious death have not shown that moniker to be entirely factual. He was smashed into the dirt by “El Toro Blanco” RUSH in 65 seconds on the February 1st COLLISION, and beaten by Hangman Page on DYNAMITE 10 days later in 76 seconds, yet he persists. Though his personality and attitude are wholly distasteful, Caster at least deserves some credit for continuing to open the door for anyone to step into the ring with him, but who will be the man that answers the call? When it was first announced Gabe Kidd would be at COLLISION, there was a great deal of fan speculation that he'd be the man on the other side of the ring from Caster, but now that we know he's fighting The Butcher, just who will Caster fight tonight in Phoenix?
