AEW Collision Preview for March 1, 2025

Tonight All Elite Wrestling heads to Oakland, CA and the Oakland Arena for an all-new COLLISION airing live from coast-to-coast! Coming off a raucous DYNAMITE where AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita defeated Orange Cassidy, Adam Cole pinned TNT Champion Daniel Garcia in their trios match, and Harley Cameron scored a big win over “The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo, AEW is following it up with a loaded Saturday night of fighting!

Coming out of Wednesday night's trios battle, we've got two high stakes match-ups for COLLISION! As a result of scoring the pin on Wednesday, Undisputed Kingdom's Adam Cole will vie for the TNT Championship against Daniel Garcia! In addition, as a result of tempers flaring after the match, FTR will face the UK combination of Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong in tag team action. Plus, Bandido and Powerhouse Hobbs will unite for the first time to face The Learning Tree's Big Bill and Bryan Keith in a tag team grudge match! We will also hear from “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega now that he knows what the future holds at REVOLUTION 2025!

AEW returns to Oakland tonight for an all-new COLLISION starting at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT streaming on MAX, as well as on TNT, and around the world via AEW PLUS and TSN in Canada! Before the show begins, visit AEW's official YouTube channel to watch highlights from previous editions of COLLISION and DYNAMITE, as well as GRAND SLAM: AUSTRALIA, not to mention all the other top-tier content available! Then follow us to Sacramento, CA for the final editions of DYNAMITE and COLLISION before REVOLUTION 2025!

TNT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH...

Daniel Garcia(c) vs. Undisputed Kingdom's Adam Cole

It's been a long time since Adam Cole wrestled for a singles championship here in All Elite Wrestling, since ALL IN: LONDON 2023 when he challenged MJF for the AEW World Title as a matter of fact, but tonight on COLLISION that changes when he challenges for the TNT Title for the very first time! Adam Cole heads into this with a bit of a psychological edge on TNT Champion Daniel Garcia after pinning the man in Wednesday night's trios battle, but that's not the only thing that gives the Undisputed Kingdom member an advantage. Not only does he have that pinfall on Garcia, Adam Cole also holds a singles victory over Garcia from the 3/29/23 DYNAMITE, not to mention that every time they've shared the ring, it's been Adam Cole who has left with the victory. He's done it in tags, trios, and multi-man affairs, and tonight on COLLISION he hopes to continue that streak and take home the TNT Title in the process!

However Garcia isn't going to just let it slip away so easily, not after chasing the title for so long and working so hard to finally claim it at FULL GEAR 2024 when he beat Jack Perry, but this 5th defense of the championship may be his hardest to date!

TAG TEAM CONTEST...

Undisputed Kingdom (Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong) vs.

FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood)

After Adam Cole pinned TNT Champion Daniel Garcia to win the trios match for Undisputed Kingdom, things got heated between FTR, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong when Cash Wheeler took umbrage to Kyle kicking Garcia's handshake away. A bit of pushing and shoving ensued despite Garcia and Adam Cole trying to calm the situation, but thankfully that's as far as it escalated before the two units went their separate ways.

Well tonight there won't be a Cole or Garcia to quell the situation, because tonight FTR and Undisputed Kingdom's Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong will face-off in tag team competition! While these two teams haven't faced off in AEW in tag team action, they've got a little experience with each other dating back to 2018 and a pair of bouts won by O'Reilly and Strong.

It's a whole new ballgame in 2025 however, and FTR are certainly the more experienced tag team. Kyle and Roddy may have been champions together in another life, but Cash and Dax have done it twice here in AEW, and never forget at one point they carried the ROH, AAA, and IWGP Tag Titles simultaneously! There's no doubt both these teams would love to be champions again, but tonight is more about bragging rights after their dust-up on Wednesday. Will it be the Undisputed tandem of O'Reilly and Strong who score the victory, or will the 2-Time AEW World Tag Champs take home the “W”?

GRUDGE MATCH...

The Learning Tree (Big Bill & Bryan Keith) vs. Bandido & Powerhouse Hobbs

Bandido and Powerhouse Hobbs are quite the unlikely allies, but they've found a common bond in their  mutual disdain for The Learning Tree! Tonight in Oakland, Hobbs' own backyard as he said in the above embedded video, their rivalry comes back to the forefront in tag team competition. We witnessed Hobbs and Big Bill commit horrible violence against one another during the Street Fight when AEW was in Arizona for DYNAMITE, and just last week on COLLISION we saw Chris Jericho squeak out  a victory over Bandido in their ROH World Championship match. Shockingly Jericho secured that victory with wrestling rather than with the assistance of Bryan Keith or Big Bill.

That doesn't mean these issues are dead and buried though. If anything getting so close to reclaiming the ROH World Title made Bandido even hungrier, and he (along with Powerhouse Hobbs) aims to use tonight's match in Oakland to send a message to “The Nueve”!

THE CLEANER!

It became official Wednesday night on DYNAMITE after AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita successfully defended his title against 2-Time champion Orange Cassidy. That victory in the second phase of the REVOLUTION 2025 International Championship Series means “The Alpha” will go one-on-one with “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega on March 9th in Los Angeles, a rematch of their ALL OUT 2023 battle won by Takeshita, and the first time Omega will challenge for the AEW International Championship. Tonight on COLLISION, with the knowledge that his date with Takeshita is set in stone, we will hear from Kenny Omega!

AEW is back in Oakland tonight for an all-new COLLISION beginning at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on TNT, as well as streaming on MAX, and around the world with AEW PLUS! TNT Champion Daniel Garcia puts his title on the line against Undisputed Kingdom's Adam Cole, FTR face UK's Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly in tag team action, we will hear from “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega as he looks towards his AEW International Championship bout with Konosuke Takeshita on March 9th, and we will bear witness to a tag team grudge match pitting The Learning Tree of Bryan Keith and Big Bill against Bandido and Powerhouse Hobbs! Prior to bell time, visit AEW's official YouTube channel to watch highlights from previous editions of COLLISION and DYNAMITE, as well as GRAND SLAM: AUSTRALIA, and the plethora of content available! Then join us in Sacramento, CA for the final editions of DYNAMITE and COLLISION before REVOLUTION 2025!
