TNT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH...

Daniel Garcia(c) vs. ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty

Even before Daniel Garcia won the TNT Championship and Lee Moriarty claimed the ROH Pure, there was already history between the two young athletes. They first collided in December 2020 up in Maine with their first AEW contest taking place in September 2021 during DARK: ELEVATION, coincidentally also the night The Outrunners debuted for All Elite Wrestling. Though just Moriarty's third match for AEW, it was clear the inventor of #TaigaStyle had all the potential in the world, and though his matches against Bryan Danielson, HOOK, Jon Moxley, and Orange Cassidy gave us a glimpse into what Lee had in his tank, it wasn't until he stepped under the umbrella of Shane Taylor Promotions that he truly blossomed into the champion he is today, a champion whose lineage includes defeating the greatest ROH Pure Champion of all-time Nigel McGuinness at FINAL BATTLE 2024.

The track of Daniel Garcia isn't all that dissimilar; after a handful of matches on DARK and DARK: ELEVATION, Garcia made a big impact alongside Matt Menard and Angelo Parker when they jumped right into the fight with Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, and Darby Allin. Those bouts, as well as challenging Sammy Guevara for the interim TNT Title and stepping into the ring with Bryan Danielson, showcased Garcia's talents. But it was his involvement with the Jericho Appreciation Society that helped cultivate Danny's talents and brought the ROH Pure Title around his waist, not to mention a victory over “The American Dragon”. Despite challenges towards Orange Cassidy's International Championship, and in contrast to Moriarty's career tract, it wasn't until Garcia stepped away from the shadow of the J.A.S. that he began to come into his own. The 2023 Continental Classic was one test of where he stood, as were battles with Swerve and Buddy Matthews that followed, not to mention that Escape the Cage match he fought alongside FTR. The fight with Cope a year ago was a true showcase of just how far Garcia had come since his AEW debut, and the REVOLUTION 2024 TNT Title bout with Christian Cage would've ended with the belt around Danny's waist if not for Nick Wayne.

Undeterred, Garcia continued to fight upwards and onward, challenging Will Ospreay for the International Title and proving he could hang blow-for-blow with another individual many consider the greatest in modern wrestling. He took the TNT Title from “Scapegoat” Jack Perry at FULL GEAR 2024, he finished the 2024 Continental Classic with victories over The Beast Mortos and Shelton Benjamin, as well as taking Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada to a time limit draw in their C2 battle. As TNT Champion, he's beaten Mark Briscoe, Katsuyori Shibata, Jay Lethal, Moriarty and Kyle O'Reilly in a Three-Way bout, and Adam Cole may have been added to that list if not for the interference of Shane Taylor Promotions. Technically Garcia retained the title, but the assault perpetrated by Carlie Bravo, Capt. Shawn Dean, Shane Taylor, and Moriarty left plenty of questions of just what would've happened if they hadn't.

However that's a question to be answered another day. Tonight it's about Garcia getting a measure of revenge for that assault even if it meant putting the TNT Championship on the line against Lee Moriarty! It's Moriarty's first one-on-one shot at that title since the May 13, 2023 HOUSE RULES: SALEM event, and the first head-to-head bout between Garcia and Moriarty since the 3/16/24 COLLISION. Garcia has dominated the rivalry between the two here in AEW with four victories across four outings (2 singles, 1 Three-Way, 1 Tag), but STP has demonstrated a willingness to get involved in each other's business that could sway the fight Lee's direction this time around! That being said, Adam Cole and Undisputed Kingdom have been willing to step up and support Garcia against STP over the last several weeks, and there's another match taking place tonight that could affect how this TNT Title fight plays out...

TAG TEAM GRUDGE MATCH...

Undisputed Kingdom (Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong) vs.

The Infantry (Capt. Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo)

Last week on COLLISION we witnessed Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly in tag team action for the first time in All Elite Wrestling. The end result was a victory over 2-Time AEW World Tag Champions FTR, though it was one that came with its own bit of controversy as, at one point, referee Stephon Smith counted Kyle O'Reilly down for three despite his foot being on the ropes. Smith may not have noticed it, but Dax Harwood did, and demanded the match continue as neither he nor Cash Wheeler wanted the victory in that fashion. Unfortunately for FTR that classy display of sportsmanship came back to bite them as Cash got caught by the Undisputed duo and pinned. There's no doubt going to be more to that story, but tonight the focus for Roddy and Kyle shifts to their lingering issues with Shane Taylor Promotions!

Last week The Infantry of Carlie Bravo and Capt. Shawn Dean were the first in the ring to attack Adam Cole and Daniel Garcia and disrupt their high-stakes TNT Championship bout, so this week they'll answer to Cole's Undisputed brothers for those actions! Though it's just their second tag match for AEW, Strong and O'Reilly have quite a decorated history as a team over the years, and their victory over FTR demonstrated that they hadn't lost a step in the five-plus years since their last tag team outing. Will that continue tonight against The Infantry, and will the outcome of this bout factor into the TNT Title at all?

SINGLES MATCH...

Momo Watanabe vs. Serena Deeb

***TBS CHAMPION MERCEDES MONÉ ON COMMENTARY***

Sunday night at REVOLUTION 2025, TBS Champion Mercedes Moné will put her title on the line against Momo Watanabe, the Stardom athlete's prize for winning the International Women's Cup at WRESTLE DYNASTY 2025 on January 5th. To be more accurate, as a result of the victory Momo had a choice of which title to challenge for from those in CMLL, ROH, and AEW, and she made her choice known at GRAND SLAM: AUSTRALIA.

Suffice to say Moné was less than pleased about being called out and there's not doubt she'll continue to express that feeling when she joins the commentary team for tonight's battle pitting Momo against “The Professor” Serena Deeb! We haven't seen the highly decorated Stardom competitor compete inside an AEW ring since the FORBIDDEN DOOR 2024: ZERO HOUR, so tonight will serve as a reminder of just what Momo is capable of inside the squared circle. However, she faces tough competition in “The Woman of 1,000 Holds” Serena Deeb, and Mercedes seems to be banking on Deeb inflicting pain on this founding member of Stardom's H.A.T.E unit. Perhaps Mercedes forgot that it's an acronym for Harass, Abuse, Terrorize, Eradicate and Momo isn't the one to just take a beating. She no doubt aims to use this fight with Deeb as a way to send Mercedes a message as “The CEO” sits ringside on commentary. She may have fought Momo before, and gotten the victory, but that doesn't mean round two will look the same as round one...

FIRST TIME EVER...

Hologram vs. LFI's Dralistico

At COLLISION: GRAND SLAM 2024, Hologram stepped into the ring with Dralistico for the very first time as participants in a Three-Way battle that also included The Beast Mortos. That night, as he has been every night since debuting for AEW on the 7/20/24 COLLISION, Hologram was victorious and he garnered that win specifically by pinning Dralistico. However, in the aftermath of that Arthur Ashe victory, Hologram was decimated by the reinvigorated LFI of RUSH, Dralistico, and The Beast Mortos.

Hologram, along with Komander, was again assaulted by LFI following the match the two men had on DYNAMITE: TITLE TUESDAY 2024, but at least garnered some redemption at WRESTLEDREAM 2024 when he defeated The Beast Mortos in a two-of-three falls bout. Unfortunately, at BATTLE OF THE BELTS XII, LFI got their vengeance and put Hologram on the shelf for four months.

However, while LFI thought they'd eliminated Hologram from their lives, all they did was provide him the opportunity to upgrade and on February 8th he returned to the aid of Komander in the face of a 3-on-1 assault from LFI. Hologram picked up right where he left off, scoring a victory over The Beast Mortos on the 2/22 edition of COLLISION to extend his undefeated streak to 16 matches, and tonight he has Dralistico in his crosshairs for their first-ever one-on-one meeting! No doubt other members of LFI will be lurking about, but while ROH World TV Champion Komander may also have his hands full with Dark Panther business in ROH, he's shown himself to be a reliable ally to Hologram if the need presents itself! Will we see Hologram continue his amazing streak in the face of LFI's violent tactics, or will Dralistico bring it to a screeching halt tonight in Sacramento?

TAG TEAM ACTION...

The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) vs.

Premier Athletes (Ariya Daivari & Tony Nese)

Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd have been running hard for decades now, traveling the roads across the territories, hanging and banging from Michigan to Florida and North Carolina to the Cow Palace, putting in the miles and giving up their blood, sweat, and tears. Tomorrow night in Los Angeles all that hard work pays off when The Outrunners face The Hurt Syndicate of Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. With years full of milestone moments, that will the biggest night in the careers of Truth and Turbo no matter what the outcome, but obviously a title victory is the goal.

However, before The Outrunners can fully focus on that title opportunity, there's one more piece of business to attend to with a team they've been tussling with since WRESTLEDREAM 2024: ZERO HOUR: Premier Athletes!

That night in Tacoma, Truth and Turbo aligned with Kyle O'Reilly and Orange Cassidy to top The Premier Athletes' Ariya Daivari & Tony Nese and their allies in The Dark Order's Alex Reynolds & John Silver. In the months since, that rivalry has run the roads from Ring of Honor to COLLISION and St. Louis to Jacksonville, and whether it be in a traditional tag, a Four-Way tag, or multi-man competition, it's been The Outrunners' side of the ring that's earned the “W” every time! Well tonight, on the eve of The Outrunners' biggest night, “Smart” Mark Sterling and his Premier Athletes aim to start the weekend on a sour note for Truth and Turbo! Will Ariya Daivari and Tony Nese even the score for their multiple losses to The Outrunners, or will Premier Athletes serve as a warning of what The Outrunners are bringing to The Hurt Syndicate on Sunday night?

ALSO FEATURING:

-Harley Cameron in singles competition!

-THE OPPS (Katsuyori Shibata, HOOK, & Samoa Joe) in trios action!

-And more!

Tonight marks the final COLLISION before REVOLUTION 2025 comes to pay-per-view live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles! The action gets underway at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on TNT, as well as streaming on MAX, plus around the world via AEW PLUS and TSN in Canada! It's a jam-packed night of fights as TNT Champion Daniel Garcia defends his title against ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty, The Outrunners renew their rivalry with Premier Athletes, Momo Watanabe returns to the AEW ring for the first time since FORBIDDEN DOOR 2024 to face Serena Deeb, Harley Cameron is in action, The Opps will be in trios competition, Dralistico versus Hologram for the first time, and Undisputed Kingdom faces The Infantry in tag team action! Prior to that first bell, drop by the official AEW YouTube channel to watch highlights from previous editions of COLLISION and DYNAMITE, recent Timelines featuring Ospreay/Fletcher and the history of the International Championship, and plenty of other additional amazing content! After the dust has settled from REVOLUTION 2025, follow All Elite Wrestling to the Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA to experience the aftermath of what's sure to be a milestone night in the City of Angels!
