AEW DYNAMITE: Maximum Carnage was broadcast on TBS and streamed on MAX live from the Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, OH!

Excalibur, “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz, and Tony Schiavone were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.

It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means!

The Don Callis Family’s “The Machine” Brian Cage (with Don Callis & Lance Archer)

vs.

“The Best Bout Machine” Kenny Omega!

Don Callis joined the broadcast booth for this match.

Kenny swarmed Cage in the corner with jabs and chops. Kenny tried to take out the legs of Cage. Brian Cage back dropped Kenny Omega. Cage picked up Omega and curled him like a barbell and then dumped him on the mat. Cage crunched Kenny in the corner, ramming Kenny with his shoulder.

Kenny countered a power bomb attempt with a hurracanrana. Lance Archer jumped onto the apron, but Kenny blasted him with a high boot. The distraction helped the Don Callis Family because Brian Cage used the opportunity to nail Kenny with a running lariat. Cage press slammed Kenny onto the announcers’ desk. Archer held Kenny as Callis assaulted Kenny with cheap shots.

Cage power bombed Kenny over the top rope and back into the ring! Omega held his stomach as Brian Cage hit him with a pump handle slam. Omega rallied back with his own power bomb, but from the top rope, and followed up with a knee strike for a near fall on Cage!

Kenny cracked Cage with the V-Trigger knee strike. Omega smashed Cage with the One Winged Angel and pinned Brian Cage!

“Welcome back Kenny Omega!” said Taz.

Kyle Fletcher and Lance Archer stomped on Kenny after the match, targeting Kenny’s midsection. Will Ospreay sprinted to the ring to even up the odds for Kenny! Ospreay cleaned the ring of Fletcher and Archer!

“Combined efforts from Ospreay and Omega to even the odds!” said Excalibur.

AEW International Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita came down to the ring and he and Omega traded strikes in the center of the ring. Fletcher grabbed Omega from behind with a snap half-and half suplex. Fletcher thumbed Will in the eyes and then Takeshita dropped Ospreay. Takeshita laid out Omega with the Raging Fire and Fletcher nailed Will with a brain buster!

“The Don Callis Family just laid out maximum carnage here tonight,” said Taz.

ROH World Champion Chris Jericho presented another New York Minute!

Jericho said Cope was a dope and they knew all about their opponents at Collision: Maximum Carnage. Jericho guaranteed Mox that they’d be on the same page for their 12-man tag match this Saturday!

Up Next: Ricochet came out to the ring!

The fans chanted “Swerve’s House!”

Ricochet: “You know what? It’s ok, that’s how it’s going to be? Listen, a picture is worth a thousand words.”

Ricochet showed a photo of a bloodied Swerve Strickland, from the scissor attack.

Prince Nana cracked Ricochet with a steel chair from behind! Swerve came to the ring and swung a steel chain, but Ricochet retreated from the ring! Swerve was relentless in his pursuit, but Ricochet was running for the hills!

Highlights played of TBS Champion “The CEO” Mercedes Moné’s whirlwind media tour!

Trios Match!

Mark Briscoe and AEW World Tag Team Champions Private Party—Quen & Zay

vs.

The Hurt Syndicate—Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, & MVP!

MVP bashed Briscoe with forearms in the ring. Briscoe fired back with chops and redneck Kungfu. MVP pump kicked Mark in the mush. Shelton grabbed Mark and whipped him into the ring apron and then body slammed him.

Back in the ring, MVP dropped the ballin’ elbow on Mark Briscoe, good for a two-count. Zay tagged in and connected with a cross body press on Shelton. Zay followed up with a dropkick. Quen tagged in and Private Party double dropkicked MVP, then Shelton, and then Lashley! Mark Briscoe flew through the ropes and crashed into Lashley outside the ring!

Quen wiped out Benjamin with a flatliner for a near fall. Bobby Lashley suplexed Briscoe on the arena floor! Shelton shoved Quen into Lashley and Lashley spiked Quen with a choke slam. Lashley speared Zay! Shelton suplexed Quen and then landed a thrust kick on Quen, scoring the pin!

“That sets the tone right there. You just pinned one half of the World tag team champions. That’s impressive!” said Taz.

It was announced that next week on Dynamite it’ll be “The Rated R Superstar” Cope against AEW World Trios Champion “The Bastard” PAC!

“The Last Outlaw” Jeff Jarrett came to the ring!

Jarrett: “The last few weeks, they sure have been humbling for me—”

MJF’s music hit, and MJF walked to the ring!

MJF: “Humbling? Jeff Jarrett, you have yet to learn the definition of the word. Last week I gave you the opportunity of a lifetime and you had the audacity to turn me down?”

Jarrett: “You were too lazy to enter the Gauntlet Battle Royale—”

MJF: “Don’t you ever interrupt me! Allow me to school all you simple minded folk on the real legacy of the Last Outlaw, emphasis on last, because Jeff Jarrett is the last thing you see before your favorite wrestling company dies.

“You are literally the definition of the pro wrestling grim reaper. When I think about your career, it’s enough to make me want to drink. Oh, I know I just took it too far. I just had a great idea. How about for the health of this company and for you, I send your ass packing back to rehab where you belong. But do me a favor? Can you make sure that sexy MILF of a wife of yours sticks around. But I’m not a monster. When I’m through with her, I’ll ship her back to Tennessee.”

Jarrett: “Max, Max, Max, not only was everything you just said crude and stupid, but it’s all been said a thousand times before. Let’s get down to business. I know that the best years of my career are behind me.

“But last summer when I entered the Owen Hart Cup, the AEW fanbase, they awakened a passion and a desire in me that I didn’t know I still had. It’s the one thing that’s going to keep me on track to becoming the AEW World champion. But let’s get back to you, Max. You think you’re going to hurt my feelings? I was you before you were you.

“Everything you can say or done, I did it before you and I did it better than you. But Max, hold on, before we get all bent out of shape here, you confuse me. Because I don’t know if you’re a dumbass or a scumbag, but knowing where you come from, maybe it’s all of the above.

“He’s your scumbag but let me give you a little history. I actually feel sorry for him on some days. It’s tough being raised by a call girl mother and your ambulance chasing attorney of a father. And your old lady is nothing more than a Canadian call girl.

“Max, look at me! You need me and you don’t even know why. Because you’re drowning in your own s—t. You may be lazy and a prick, but at the core, you’re a scared little boy.

“You’re scared to death of never being on top. And like I said last week, you are scared of becoming a one-hit wonder.”

MJF: “You listen to me! Scared? I am nothing like you! I didn’t need my daddy to make me a top guy, I didn’t need to start my own company to become a top guy. MJF made MJF! Let’s talk about when I’m king of the mountain. I’m the only man to thank for the biggest professional wrestling show of all time, and I’m the one to thank for record ticket sales and pay-per-view buys. And then I got screwed out of my championship. My name! My legacy! Dragged through the mud. To this day, the same people that put me on a pedestal have now taken it out from beneath me and treat me like I’m nothing. I don’t need the championship, I want it, so I can shove it down their throats.

“But instead I have to wait in line for Jeff Jarrett? With all due respect, these people, they’re not very bright, no wrestling fan has ever given a single s—t about you. But you know what really pisses me off, slap nuts? Just because you were best friends with Owen Hart, you think you’re owed a grand finale. You might have had these people convinced, but I see through your bull, you carnie succubus. You are nothing more than a leech riding the coattails of your deceased friend. Did I strike a chord? I thought you were tough. I guess you don’t like it when I talk about your old pal Owen—”

Jeff Jarrett heard enough and leveled MJF! Karen Jarrett got in the ring and tried to calm Jeff down. MJF grabbed Karen and used her as a shield and then shoved her at Jeff before running off!

It was announced that this Saturday on Collision: Maximum Carnage, for the AEW Continental Championship, it’ll be champ Kazuchika Okada defending against Tomohiro Ishii!

The Patriarchy’s Christian Cage (with Mother Wayne) vs. HOOK!

Hook wasted no time and went right after Christian Cage! Hook back dropped Cage into the ring. Christian Cage went to hug Hook, telling Hook he’d be the father he needed, but Hook sent Christian for a ride with a belly to belly suplex.

Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne came down to the ring and stood outside with Mother Wayne.

Hook ran off the apron and connected with an elbow strike to Christian. Hook sandwiched Christian’s head between the steel steps and his knee! Christian swept out Hook’s legs. Christian followed up with a frog splash for a near fall on Hook! Christian Cage nailed Hook with two more consecutive frog splashes!

Christian speared Hook but Hook kicked out at the one-count!

“Barely a one count for Christian Cage!” said Excalibur.

Hook hurled Christian with a Judo throw and then a Northern Lights Suplex. Hook countered the Kill Switch with a fisherman’s suplex for a near fall. Hook put on the Redrum but Christian touched the ropes and Hook released the hold. Christian gouged Hook’s eyes and then whipped Hook into the steel post. Shibata came down to help Hook but Christian planted Shibata with the Kill Switch on the arena floor!

Hook locked on the Redrum inside the ring. Christian called in the reinforcements! Nick and Kip stomped on Hook. The ref disqualified Christian. Christian Cage was about to put Hook in the con-chair-to when Samoa Joe came down to clean house on the Patriarchy! Christian Cage and Mother Wayne retreated before Samoa Joe could get to them!

“Samoa Joe, Shibata, and Hook, reunited tonight on Dynamite: Maximum Carnage!” said Excalibur.

Renee Paquette was backstage to interview Jeff Jarrett!

ROH World Tag Team Champion Dustin Rhodes interrupted the interview.

Dustin: “How many years have we known each other? MJF has been in the business a minute? I’m here to tell you that I’m 110 percent behind you and want you to go after your dream. You’re the Last Outlaw. And Jeff, outlaws never die. We’re the very last of our kind.”

Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match!

The winner gets a Women’s World title shot at Grand Slam: Australia.

AEW Women’s World Champion “The Glamour” Mariah May joined the broadcast booth for this match.

Toni Storm was the next participant! Toni cleaned house with snap mares and shoulder tackles. Bayne got dropkicked by Willow. Hart hit a DDT on Hayter! Willow jumped off the apron with a crossbody press to Megan! Harley Cameron came out next and walloped Julia with a high kick to the head. Hayter hit the Hayte Breaker on Julia. Hayter snapped Harley in half with another Hayte Breaker. Julie sprayed mist into Harley’s eyes! Toni Storm rolled up Julia in a small package and pinned her!

“Toni Storm will face Mariah May in Australia!” said Excalibur.

AEW World Championship Match!

Jon Moxley (c.) (with Marina Shafir) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs!

“The Bastard” PAC and Claudio Castagnoli came through the crowd and surrounded the ring. Mox hit Hobbs with a blindsided shot. Hobbs fired back with strikes to the champion. Hobbs and Moxley brawled around ringside. They got back in the ring and Mox booted Hobbs in the head.

Moxley rocketed out of the ring with a tope suicida, sending Hobbs into the barricade. Hobbs picked up Mox and rammed Mox into the turnbuckles. Hobbs tried to bite the earring out of Moxley’s ear!

Moxley’s ear was gushing blood after Hobbs bit the earring out of it. Marina kicked Hobbs in the side of the head as the ref was distracted. Hobbs countered the Death Rider with his strength and then shoulder blocked Moxley! Hobbs bulldozed Mox with three consecutive lariats.

Hobbs planted Mox with the World’s Most Dangerous Slam for a near fall! Hobbs powerslammed Mox off the turnbuckles but Mox countered on the mat with an arm bar. Hobbs grabbed the ropes to force the ref to break the submission hold.

Yuta walloped Hobbs with a running knee strike on the ramp while the ref was dealing with Moxley. Hobbs came back with a spinebuster out of nowhere to Mox! Shafir bashed the briefcase onto Hobb’s head! Moxley nailed Hobbs with the Paradigm Shift but Hobbs kicked out at the two-count. Moxley locked in the bulldog choke and won via ref stoppage!

After the match, the Death Riders swarmed Powerhouse Hobbs! Moxley whacked Hobbs with a steel chair across Hobb’s knee! Rated FTR sprinted to the ring to come to the aid of Powerhouse Hobbs! The Death Riders quickly scattered!
