Dynamite Results

CONTAINS SPOILERS

AEW DYNAMITE was broadcast on TBS and streamed on MAX live from the Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix, AZ!

Excalibur, “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz, and Ian Riccaboni were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.

It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means!

MJF walked to the ring for his faceoff with “Hangman” Adam Page, kicking off tonight’s program!

Extra security staff surrounded the ring to make sure nothing got physical between Page and MJF.

MJF: “The year was 2019, the first ever event in the history of this company was Double Or Nothing. The first match was a Casino Battle Royal. I had the match won. It was the biggest opportunity of my life, and you screwed me. You cheap shotted me like a gutless little worm. So I had to crawl my way back to the top and I did so by beating some of the top names in this industry.

“Who did I beat to win my Dynamite Diamond Ring? Oh that’s right, it was you. I main evented, headlined, and won the biggest wrestling event of all time in Wembley Stadium. I am the best and longest reigning AEW World Champion of all time. The greatest wrestler on god’s green earth. And do you know why, Hangman? Because my name is MJF and I’m better than you and you know it.”

Hangman: “Why are you talking to me like I don’t know who you are? I know exactly who you are and what you’ve done. You’re 28 years old and already have a history-making wrestling career. But you sound angry about your accomplishments. All of that, and you can’t be happy. Is it because there’s something you still haven’t been able to win…from them?”

MJF: “How about you shut your mouth! I don’t care a damn about the fans. I just think it’s funny that these hypocrites get to determine who is morally redeemable and who’s not. These people woke up one day and decided you get to be the main character? You’re the good guy?

“These morons will chant for you at the top of your lungs. Everybody loves ‘Hangman’ Adam Page. But I’ve got a question for you, bud? After everything you’ve done, do you love you? Did you love yourself after you ended the career of your mentor? After you absolutely demolished that jobber hack Christopher Daniels?”

Hangman: “Don’t you dare! He’s ten times the man you’ll ever be! He went out fighting for his life! He died a warrior’s death! I know CD and he never would have had it any other way. He took care of professional wrestling even when professional wrestling did not take care of him. He is the best of us. It’s because of men and women like him that we have the chance to stand in this ring tonight. Don’t you ever forget it. It is that selflessness and humility that I don’t think you understand. You don’t have the stomach for it. Let me ask you, if your career ended tonight, what would they say about you? Would they say that you’re a credit to our sport? Or would they say you’re an opportunist? A selfish coward?

“You asked why after everything that I have done these people still seem to care about me and I am not going to be arrogant to try to understand it, but I know what is right and I know what is wrong and I tell the truth about it. I have never lied to the fans. If I have had a problem, I have faced it head on, eye to eye. I didn’t run from it. I didn’t hide it. Everything I’ve had I have worked for it.

“You have spent five years cheating, scheming your way to the top. And anyone who stood in your way, you would tell them you’re better than them. And I hope that for once, for your sake, there is a small part of you that’s wondering, is it true? Because it’s not. And deep down I think you know it.”

MJF: “Oh my god, are you a child? I’m sorry fans, did I not win fair and square on my way to the top. The history books don’t give a damn how you get the job done. I earned everything. I can’t say the same for you, now, can I? No, no. Because whether you admit it or not, you were the golden boy, the chosen one. You came walking into this company with all the buzz in the world. You know what I came in with? A scarf and a microphone. I talk, look, wrestle better than you. You name one thing you do better than me? Name it!”

Hangman: “I am real.”

MJF: “You know what? You can be the main character all you want. I got no problem being the bad guy.”

Security jumped onto the ring apron and MJF backed off, despite Page daring him to do something. MJF spat at Page! Page charged at MJF, but MJF retreated, and security held back Page! Christopher Daniels jumped into the ring and told Page: “Don’t listen to MJF. I know who you are, and you know who you are!”

Bandido, you got a victory over me in Australia. So what I’m going to do is give you a chance at this title this Saturday on Collision. People around here are getting a little too comfortable around Chris Jericho.”

AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm came to the ring, accompanied by Luther the Butler!

“Timeless” Toni Storm: “This whore you all adore, this tramp is your new champ! On the other side of the world in front of friends, family, and former lovers, I faced the woman from hell. A woman who broke my heart and took my title and ruined my soul, Mariah May, you sick bitch!

“But Mariah I am so proud of you because you gave me the fight of my life and then I beat you with my small package. They say the best thing come in small packages, but you should have worn protection because I railed you with the biggest package.

“As for this championship, if I’m going to be the best then I need to face the best. Women of wrestling lend me your ears. Because whether you’re Kris Statlander or Willow Nightingale or Wendy Richter, I’m not hard to find. For god is a woman and her name is ‘Timeless!’”

A hype package aired for Gabe Kidd who will be coming to Collision this Saturday night!

Renee Paquette was backstage with Willow Nightingale!

Marina Shafir ambushed Willow with the steel briefcase! AEW World Champion Jon Moxley walked to the ring with the Death Riders!

Moxley: “I’m the champion of the world which means this is my microphone, this is my building, you’re sitting in my damn seats. So nobody comes into my house and lays down some challenge to me. I don’t care if they’re the ‘Rated R Superstar’. Adam Copeland isn’t here. He’s probably still face down in the dirt in Australia. He made a challenge to me but I about popped his head off. If he shows up to Revolution, I will finish the job!”

“Switchblade” Jay White walked through the tunnel and onto the ramp! The Death Riders surrounded Jay White. Cope’s music began to play, and Cope popped up behind Moxley, grounding pounding him! Jay blasted Pac with a Blade Runner. Cope pulled Spike out from beneath the ring. Cope swung Spike at Moxley and Moxley made a hasty retreat!

Cope: “Moxley! This isn’t your arena. These aren’t your seats. These aren’t your people. They’re my people! Moxley, I know you’re probably halfway back to your hotel. I know you’re going to see this. You’re a coward. You’ve got no spine. You need your goon squad. As of now I’m going to take them out one by one by one! So when we get to Revolution it is man versus man and I’m going to kick your ass!”

Renee Paquette was backstage with TBS Champion Mercedes Mone!

Mercedes: “Say hello to your CEO!”

Renee: “You are now 14 and 0 as TBS Champion. We caught up with Momo Watanabe in Australia and she chose a match against you at Revolution for the TBS championship.”

Renee Paquette was backstage with “Platinum” Max Caster!

Caster: “The strategy with my open challenge is not the problem. The open challenge is about going eye to eye with the best wrestler alive. Look into my eyes. This open challenge continues this Saturday on Collision. Whoever answers it will get beat because I will prove you can’t be better than the best.”

Up next: Ricochet came to the ring!

Ricochet was wearing Jimmy Rave’s robe, stolen from the Embassy.

Ricochet: “I will be speaking directly to the people at home. What you need to understand is all of this booing, it doesn’t matter. None of it matters because when you boo a winner, you boo into a void of nothingness and Ricochet is a winner. I proved it two weeks ago when I pinned Swerve Strickland to the mat. But in reality, I’ve been proving it since the moment I stepped into AEW.

“I whopped Swerve’s ass. Will’s ass. Darby’s ass. Komander’s ass. Winners always have something to show for it and baby, Ricochet has something to show for all of his success. I’m not content with just wearing this robe. I’m talking championships. I will be the main name on this roster. I came to win gold.

“So that is where my sights are set for 2025. I want to be a champion in AEW. Let me correct that. Ricochet will be a champion in AEW because I’m too damn good looking not to be.”

Prince Nana walked out to Swerve’s music and got into the ring across from Ricochet.

Prince Nana: “I know what you’re thinking but this isn’t that. I want to talk one on one, so I asked Swerve to stay home. We’ve been beefing up and down the road for the last couple of months and I don’t know where that’s going. But what I do know is you’re wearing something that doesn’t belong to you. I’ve been in this business for three decades making history. That robe has a lot to do with it, my friend. That robe represents pride and integrity and those that I’ve walked through and those that we’ve lost. Anyone that’s wearing that robe has honor.

“Ricochet, honestly, if you’re that winner that you always say that you are, just do me a favor and give the robe back to me.”

Ricochet: “So you want the robe back. Is that what I’m hearing? Take it. Are you going to cry, Nana? That’s ok. We all have emotions. You’re not getting the robe back Nana.”

AEW Revolution International Championship Series!

“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy

vs. The Undisputed Kingdom’s Roderick Strong (with Kyle O’Reilly & Adam Cole)!

Cassidy blasted Roddy with the Beach Break, but Roddy kicked out at the two-count! Roddy wrecked Orange with two back breakers, followed by the End of Heartache for a near fall on Orange!

Roddy dodged an Orange Punch and applied a Texas Cloverleaf. Orange crawled to the ropes to force the ref to break the hold. Strong hit the sick kick but Orange staggered Roddy with the Stun Dog Millionaire and followed up with the Orange Punch, pinning Roderick Strong!

“What a main event we just witnessed. And Orange Cassidy punched his ticket for next week’s Dynamite as he’ll face Konosuke Takeshita, with the winner facing Kenny Omega at Revolution!”

Tony Schiavone was in the ring to interview Orange Cassidy! Before Cassidy had a chance to speak, The Don Callis Family walked onto the ramp!

Don Callis: “I have something very important to say. Orange, I guess you were going to tell everyone you’re the greatest International Champion of all time, but to me you’re nothing but a red-headed hippie. Get him!”

Mark Davis began to pummel Orange Cassidy. Takeshita and Davis held back Orange while Don Callis kicked Orange. Kenny Omega sprinted to the ring to even up the odds! Davis held back Omega while Takeshita cracked Omega with a big elbow strike! Takeshita was looking for the Raging Fire but Orange escaped and Kenny rocked Takeshita with the V-Trigger! Kenny picked up Takeshita’s championship and held it up high.

“Kenny wants to take that title from Takeshita, but it may be Orange Cassidy that Takeshita faces live on pay-per-view at Revolution,” said Excalibur.
