AEW DYNAMITE was broadcast on TBS and streamed on MAX live from the VBC Probst Arena in Huntsville, AL!
Excalibur, “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz, and Tony Schiavone were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.
It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means!
“The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay
vs.
The Don Callis Family’s “The Machine” Brian Cage (with Don Callis & Lance Archer)!
Don Callis joined the broadcast booth for this match.
Callis: “Ospreay I have something very important to tell you. I want you to take a good look at that screen now.”
Kenny Omega was backstage and had been assaulted! While Will was looking at the big screen, Brian Cage blindsided Ospreay. Will Ospreay wiped out Cage with a hurracanrana from the turnbuckles. Cage dropped Ospreay to the floor with a running shoulder block.
Ospreay was looking for a flipping neck breaker off the barricade, but Cage caught him! Cage drove Will down with a suplex on the arena floor! Archer stomped Will as the referee was distracted by Brian Cage. Callis came in with cheap shots to Will, swarming Will.
Brian Cage bashed Will into the turnbuckles. Will came back with a jaw breaker, but Cage crushed Will with two consecutive back breakers! Cage grounded and pounded Ospreay. Cage compressed Will’s ribs, applying a bear hug. Will escaped and Cage chopped Will. Will retaliated with a corkscrew kick, returning fire!
Ospreay blasted Cage with a thrust kick and followed up with a springboard elbow strike for a near fall. Ospreay crashed onto Cage with a Sasuke Special to the floor! Archer distracted Will which allowed Cage time to clobber Will with a clothesline. Cage suplexed Will from outside the ring and brought Will back in the hard way!
Ospreay caught Cage with a heel kick. Cage creamed Will with a discus lariat and then a sit out power bomb, but Ospreay kicked out at the two-count! Ospreay rocked Cage with a Styles Clash and scored the pin!
“What a battle! What a battle!” said Taz.
After the match, Archer ambushed Will, swarming him with strikes! Kenny Omega ran to the ring with a steel cage, cracking Archer with it and then throwing the chair at Cage! Fletcher and Takeshita jumped Omega and Ospreay from behind! Takeshita and Fletcher spiked Will and Kenny with stereo piledrivers! The Don Callis Family continued to beat down Omega and Fletcher. Fletcher tried to shield Omega, using his body to try to protect Kenny from additional punishment.
Renee Paquette was backstage trying to get a word with Swerve Strickland!
“Hangman” Adam Page stormed past her, looking for Swerve. Page brushed past MJF.
MJF: “I’m not going to let anybody ruin my mood tonight. My words aren’t just poetry, they’re prophecy. Tonight, Jeff Jarrett, you’ll have to go out there alone and face Claudio and that’s because you refused my sweetheart of an offer. It’s one you can’t decline. The Last Outlaw’s last ride…ain’t I great!”
Powerhouse Hobbs had a strong warning for Big Bill!
“Unfortunately Big Bill, I wasn’t cleared to Dynamite tonight. When I’m cleared to come back, I’m going to show you that hell is just the beginning.”
“The Last Outlaw” Jeff Jarrett
vs.
AEW World Trios Champion Claudio Castagnoli!
Jeff Jarrett will get a World Title shot with a win!
Jeff used an arm drag and a hip toss to take down Claudio. Claudio came back with a running lariat. Jarrett applied a figure four leg lock out of nowhere. Claudio reached the ropes to force the ref to break the hold.
Wheeler Yuta came through the crowd and walked down to ringside.
Claudio crushed Jeff with a double stomp to the chest. Jeff retaliated with a Russian Leg Sweep. Both men traded strikes. Jeff changed levels and kicked Claudio’s legs. Claudio grabbed Jarrett and whirled him around in the Giant Swing. Claudio’s knee gave out after all the damage done. Claudio applied the sharpshooter. Jarrett reversed the hold!
Wheeler slipped a chair into the ring and then distracted the ref. Claudio swung the chair, but Jarrett ducked it. AEW World Champion Jon Moxley jumped into the ring and spiked Jeff with the Paradigm Shift. Claudio planted Jeff with the Neutralizer and pinned Jarrett.
After the match, MJF’s music hit and MJF came down to the ring!
MJF: “You know, Jeff, I just wanted to come out here to say—”
MJF clocked Jarrett with the Dynamite diamond ring, knocking Jarrett flat on his back!
MJF: “Jeff, as you know I truly respect my elders. And that’s precisely why I’m not going to say I told you so.”
Renee Paquette interviewed Ricochet backstage!
Renee: “Tony Khan gave me word that if Swerve interferes with your match tonight, his match with you next week will be off.”
Ricochet: “And if you want to talk to me, you’ll have to have a sit down with me on Collision.”
Ricochet vs. AR Fox!
Ricochet used a side headlock takeover. Fox hit a stunner off the bottom rope and followed up with a corkscrew brain buster! Fox flew over the top rope and landed full force on Ricochet! Ricochet rocked AR Fox with a hip toss onto the ring apron.
Ricochet landed a massive dropkick. Ricochet planted Fox with a spinebuster. Ricochet landed a standing moonsault press for a near fall. Both men went for crossbody presses and collided midair.
AR Fox nailed Ricochet with a DDT. Fox rocked Ricochet with a cutter and followed up with a 450 press, but Ricochet kicked out at the two-count!
“Ricochet showing his toughness here tonight,” said Excalibur.
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Ricochet blasted Fox with the Spirit Gun and then finished off Fox with the Vertigo for the three-count!
After the match, Ricochet pulled out a pair of scissors. Swerve appeared out of nowhere and pulled Ricochet out of the ring. Swerve whipped Ricochet into the steel ring steps! Swerve went for the Swerve Stomp, but Ricochet used AR Fox as a human shield and then retreated from the ring.
ROH World Champion Chris Jericho had a New York Minute!
Jericho promoted his new horror movie out this Friday. Big Bill said he feels like he understands Jericho’s words in a way he never did before. He feels stronger. Jericho said he felt proud to be such a great mentor. But Big Bill didn’t get the job finished against Powerhouse Hobbs. But on Collision, it’ll be Jericho and “the Bad Apple” against the Outrunners, and Big Bill will have to learn and watch how it’s done.
Jericho: “Big Bill, I expect you to make me proud this time for real.”
“Switchblade” Jay White vs. AEW World Trios Champion Wheeler Yuta!
Jay White blistered Yuta’s chest with chops. He followed up with a back drop to Yuta. Wheeler dropkicked White in the knee and then used a drop toehold. Yuta went to work on White’s leg, stomping on Jay White’s knee. Yuta hit a fisherman’s suplex for a near fall on Jay White.
Jay planted Yuta with a dragon screw. Jay White superplexed Yuta and covered Wheeler Yuta for a near fall. Yuta dodged a cutthroat suplex with a chop block. Yuta applied a single leg crab. Jay reached for the ropes and the ref broke the hold. Yuta hit Jay with the hammer and anvil strikes but Jay escaped and countered with a uranage.
Wheeler escaped a Blade Runner attempt with a cradle for a near fall. Wheeler German Suplexed the Switchblade but Jay White escaped. Jay White countered a knee strike with the Blade Runner and pinned Wheeler Yuta!
After the match, Jay blasted Wheeler with another Blade Runner for good measure. AEW World Champion Jon Moxley came down to the ring and distracted White long enough for Claudio to blindside Jay White.
“The Rated R Superstar” Cope and FTR sprinted to the ring and ran off the Death Riders!
Dax: “It’s an even fight right now. Death Riders, I know how you operate. What I hate is when you try to end a 67 year old man, my idol, Ricky Morton, that’s when I’ve got a problem. Dennis Condrey is here, and in his name, on Collision, FTR versus the Death Riders in a Midsouth Street Fight! See ya’ll there!”
Renee Paquette interviewed AEW Women’s World Champion “The Glamour” Mariah May!
Mariah May: “We’re doing this? The return of Toni Storm? Toni Storm is not real! You want to play the role of Toni Storm? Ok, why don’t you play the Toni Storm who gave her heart to a woman who used her for her gold.
“Why don’t you play the Toni Storm whose most memorable moment was bleeding and crying in my hands? Why don’t you play the Toni Storm who walked out of Wembley, Japan, and Mexico, crying because she couldn’t touch me? The ending stays the same.
“I don’t need to role play because when you’re this good, you don’t need to change a thing. I am the woman from hell, and I always will be. And I will remind you for the rest of your life. This is your AEW Women’s World Champion!”

Deonna Purrazzo said it should have been her in the match if it weren’t for Harley Cameron. Deonna and Taya Valkyrie said they were coming to collect this Saturday on Collision!
TBS Championship Match!
“The CEO” Mercedes Moné (c.)
vs. “The Magical Girl” Yuka Sakazaki!
Mercedes hit a shoulder tackle. Yuka dodged an arm drag. Yuka cradled Mercedes for a near fall. Mercedes chopped Yuka Sakazaki. Yuka kicked Mercedes in the face. Mercedes shifted the momentum in her favor with a meteora!
The champion rocked Yuka with a knee strike. Yuka countered a power bomb with a hurracanrana. Yuka fired off a missile dropkick. Yuka blasted Mercedes with a brain buster for a near fall. Yuka hit a sliding lariat.
Mercedes turned things around with the three amigos suplexes. Yuka walloped Mercedes with a superplex, giving the champ a taste of her own medicine. Mercedes went for the Mone Maker, but Yuka escaped and hit a thrust kick. Yuka took the champ for a ride with the Merry Go Round, but Mercedes kicked out at the two count!
Mercedes cracked Yuka with the back stabber. Yuka rolled up Mercedes for a near fall! Yuka drilled Mercedes with a German Suplex off the ropes. Yuka went for the Magical Girl Splash, but Mercedes raised her knees! Mercedes power bombed Yuka. Mercedes planted Yuka with the Mone Maker and scored the pin!
