AEW DYNAMITE was broadcast on TBS and streamed on MAX live from the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul, MN!
Excalibur, “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz, and Tony Schiavone were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.
It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means!
AEW International Champion Kenny Omega
vs.
Blake Christian (with Lee Johnson)!
The fans chanted “Kenny! Kenny! Kenny!”
Omega used a side headlock takeover. Christian flipped off Omega. Kenny lit up Blake with blistering chops. Blake blasted Kenny with a dropkick. Blake gouged the eyes of Omega and then speared Omega on the apron.
Blake jumped through the ropes with an inverted tope, wiping out Kenny.
“This kid can really go,” said Schiavone.
Lee jumped on the apron and Kenny punched him down. Kenny nailed Blake with a snap dragon suplex, followed up with another. Kenny hit a neck breaker and then the V Trigger. Omega planted Blake with the One-Winged Angel and picked up the pinfall victory!
“Statement victory there for Omega,” said Taz.
Omega: “Now it’s unfortunate but I don’t get to wrestle every single week like I’d like to. But when I promise them, heck, I’ll make it quick, Tony Khan had no choice but to sign the dotted line. But it’ll be a far difference choice at Dynasty against Ricochet and “Speedball” Mike Bailey.”
“Speedball” Mike Bailey: “Kenny Omega. Congratulations. Listen, I just wanted to come out here and say you’re an inspiration to me. Kenny, I respect you. No, more than respect, I admire you. I admire you as a wrestler and as a person and as a champion. But come Dynasty, even though I respect you, I won’t pull any punches, I won’t hesitate for even one second when I get the chance to kick your head clean off and take your championship.”
Ricochet appeared on the big screen!
Ricochet: “As much as I’d love to be there in person, fortunately, today is my wedding. Now as you can see, I am dressed for the best day of my life. That is until April 6th, which is when I show everyone that I’m the best in the world and I become the new International Champion. After Dynasty, I leave with both the girl and the gold.”
Omega: “First of all, I believe congratulations are in order, but Dynasty is not about making any friends. I have a cat; I don’t need anymore. Trust me, when it comes to wrestling, there’s only one thing I have time for, it’s what’s around my shoulder and it’s my legacy. And by the way, welcome to AEW.”
Next, we heard from The Learning Tree!
ROH World Champion Chris Jericho: “Last Sunday on Collision, I had Gravity’s mask taken from me. But that’s ok. It’s time to remove all the masks. Bryan Keith and Big Bill, you’ve been under the learning tree too long. You need to ask yourself if it’s worthy for you to still be with Chris Jericho. If you do, you need to go prove yourself, once again, for the last time. Prove it!
“And Bandido, you got your brother’s mask back. Congratulations. But I want your mask. I want you to feel the humiliation and the disgrace. How about my title and your mask on the line? See you at Dynasty!”
MJF came out next!
MJF: “Cut my music, cut my music. Much like Michael Jackson’s legacy is far more important than that talentless hack Prince, my words are far more important that everybody watching on their TVs at home.
“Now MVP, I have been looking at this business card for two weeks straight and I’d like to have a little chat so I can give you my answer.”
MVP came down to the ring!
MJF: “MVP, you my friend, are a legend in the sport of professional wrestling. After everything that transpired between me and Adam Cole, I promised myself I would never have friends again. But when you clock in, you don’t do friends either, you do business. I’ve been looking at your card for an awfully long time and my decision is I’d like to be in the business of hurting people.”
Before MJF and MVP shook hands, AEW World Tag Team Champions The Hurt Syndicate walked to the ring!
Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin got into MJF’s face!
Lashley told MJF, “Give me the card.”
Lashley ripped up the card.
MJF: “I thought we were cool.”
MVP: “We’re cool, we’re cool.”
MJF left the ring while MVP tried to calm down Bobby Lashley.
Bryan Keith and Big Bill walked onto the ramp!
Keith: “So I guess it’s true. Hurt people do hurt people. Don’t worry, we’re not out here to join your group therapy session.”
Big Bill: “I see you guys standing in the ring with those tag team titles but I don’t see a challenger.”
MVP: “Me neither.”
Big Bill: “You want to run your mouth, huh? Are you a pimp or a businessman?”
MVP: “I’m a little bit of both.”
Big Bill: “Let me remind you, I was once a tag team champion, and I was never pinned or submitted for those titles. My partner got submitted by Sting. We need to prove ourselves to Chris Jericho. I am going to take my rematch and those titles.”
MVP: “Why don’t you guys win a match and then and only then will we give you an opportunity for these titles.”
The Don Callis Family’s “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher (with Don Callis)

Lexy Nair was backstage with The Patriarchy!
Nick Wayne: “I’m starting to understand it now, Lexy. I know why Christian Cage did what he did at Revolution. I’m waiting to speak with him face to face. But last week you saw how we properly, and I repeat, properly, execute a plan.”
Renee Paquette interviewed “Hangman” Adam Page backstage and wanted to ask him about entering the Owen!
Swerve interrupted and got into Page’s face! Prince Nana separated them!
Up next: Rated FTR had a sit-down interview with Tony Schiavone!
Dax: “I feel I need to address the elephant in the room. Last week I let the emotions get the better of me and I need to apologize to these guys. We took a break from our goal to help you, Cope, with your goal of trying to become AEW World Champion.”
Cope: “I came back to try to help you against Mox and the Death Riders. I wasn’t trying to pull you guys away from the tag titles.”
Dax: “I just felt like we took our eyes off the prize.”
Cash: “I think we all let our emotions get the best of us. Without either one of you guys, I have nothing. Cope gave me a place to live when I had nothing. Without either one of you guys, I don’t have any of this and I want my two best friends to be on the same page.”
Dax: “I think it’s time for us to go after the Hurt Syndicate.”
Cash: “I’d love to go after the Trios Titles.”
Cope: “I agree. So on April 6th, what do say Death Riders?”
Prince Nana and Swerve Strickland came to the ring next!
Swerve: “I’m here to call out Jon Moxley. Not the Death Riders. The AEW World Champion Jon Moxley! Look me in the eyes, man to man, if you’ve got the balls to do so!”
AEW World Champion Jon Moxley came to the ring by himself!
Swerve: “I’ve been allowing things to go on like this for far too long. People have been asking me since October why I haven’t been going after my championship. Look at you. What happened to you, Jon? Jon Moxley used to be revered here in AEW. You hide behind the Death Riders. This man still has the never to say nobody in the back wants to be World Championship. Every time that you have a championship defense, you narrowly escape. Oh and how is your back doing?”
Claudio Castagnoli was standing behind Prince Nana outside the ring, unbeknownst to Nana!
Moxley: “That all sounded great if you believe it. April 6th it’s Swerve versus Swerve. It’s not about me. Who are you really? I know exactly who and what you are and what you can be. I have had some high hopes for you, but I have been disappointed before. On April 6th, I will give you chance to become everything that you said you can be. But how far are you willing to go? Not just today or April 6th, but every day.
“Will you endure when you have the entire weight of the world on your shoulders. You haven’t suffered enough yet, but you will suffer on April 6th. It’s guys like you who give me hope. But I ain’t gonna give it to you. I don’t give handouts. So how far are you willing to go? I’m willing to go the whole way right now. You are the most dangerous man in AEW, right?”
Marina Shafir jumped on the apron with a crowbar. Willow Nightingale followed her with a lead pipe.
Swerve: “You’ve bled pints? I’ve bled buckets. In 11 days I take back that AEW World Championship.”
Marina and Willow began to brawl. Claudio pulled Marina away while Prince Nana tried to pull Willow off Shafir.
Backstage Shibata commandeered a camera with The Opps!
Max Caster was talking to Top Flight and AR Fox. Samoa Joe put Caster to sleep with a choke hold!
Renee Paquette was backstage to interview “Switchblade” Jay White!
Jay White: “Ospreay, Hangman, I’m now entering myself into the Owen Hart Tournament. I’m going to win the Cup this year and have a shot at the AEW World Championship at Texas. How about I return to Collision this Saturday and see if anyone is man enough to show up to face me!”
Top Flight—Dante & Darius Martin (with AR Fox)
vs.
Devo Knight & Alex Findley!
The Cru—Lio Rush and Action Andretti—were watching from the front row, taunting Top Flight.

AEW World Trios Champions The Death Riders had strong words for Rated FTR!
Claudio: “You guys are pathetic.”
PAC: “It’s your arrogance that we find hard to stomach. You have the audacity to challenge us? No, that’s not how things work around here. At AEW Dynasty, we challenge you to survive the Death Riders!”
Alicia Atout was trying to get a word with the Hurt Syndicate!
MVP: I don’t get time off. We’ve been talking about adding a fourth member for some time now. I made a move. So what’s the problem?”
Shelton: “MJF has a reputation.”
Bobby: “I don’t like him.”
MVP: “If you guys don’t want him in, we can revisit it. Now let’s focus on this Big Bill business.”
