After the match, “Smart” Mark Sterling came out with Tony Nese.

Sterling: “We brought out a very important document. This document says I own the trademark to ‘Scissor Me’ in professional wrestling! If you try to use the scissor gesture, I will sue you so hard and you will be stuck in the court system so long you’ll be forced to forfeit those titles. Until then, scissor me Daddy Nese!”

We heard from Casino Ladder match winner and self-proclaimed Devil—MJF!

MJF was about to answer Alex Marvez’s questions when Stokely Hathaway interrupted them. MJF said if this happened again, he’d fire Hathaway.

MJF: “You want to ask me about William Regal, Marvez? In my world you’re about as villainous as Mary Poppins. We have a dark past but you don’t want me to remind me of that. Wheeler Yuta, you asked me about Wheeler Yuta. Was I about to shake his hand? I don’t know, Marvez.

“Nice guys finish last, and I’m not an idiot. Most of the locker room hates my guts. But I have no choice but to be the bad guy. I have broken my hand many times punching my own reflection. But that’s what it takes and by hook or by crook, I will be the AEW World Champion!”

Ahead of his AEW World Championship title defense against Hangman Adam Page next week, we heard from AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, who was interviewed by Tony Schiavone!

Moxley: “After three years, damn it feels good to be in Toronto! And for much of that three years I have been the AEW World Champion. They have come from far and wide to try to knock me off the mountain. Being world champion ain’t all fun and games. You’ve got a target on your back.

“You live every day in physical pain. Everybody wants to see you fall. A lot of guys crumble and self-destruct. The world champion does not have the luxury of fear or doubt. Being world champion is a dirty job. You’ve gotta be ruthless. But I love this job.

“And that brings me to the cowboy, Hangman Adam Page.”

Hangman Adam Page walked down to the ring!

Hangman Page: “Whatever you have to say about me, I want you to say it to my face. Actually, you said it all last week. You said you respected who I was in the ring, and who I was as a person. And I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that coming from you that meant the world to me.

“Because I have watched you for these past three years and I’ve come to respect who you are in the ring and outside of it too. There have been times in the last three years where I looked at you and saw the kind of man I want to be.”

MJF was watching from a skybox.

Page: “You called me a nice kid last week. After all the compliments, is that how you feel about me? Am I a kid to you?”

Mox: “That’s exactly what I think about you. I don’t think you’re the same guy who knocked me off a twenty-foot ladder one year ago. Next week if you’ve got a chance to take a shot at me, I don’t think you’ve got the guts to pull the trigger.”

Page: “I hesitated and it cost me the championship. For all that I did, I’m left with nothing. So I’m not the same. I’m angry! I’m frustrated. I’m anxious! I’m depressed. The medicine is not working but I am still here because I am a man! I know what I have to do in Cincinnati. I don’t care if your family is in the crowd. I will beat you within an inch of your life to take back this title.

“I have nothing. I have a shot and I have my word. Tuesday I take my shot and tonight I give you my word. I will be the next AEW World Champion. That is my word. Unlike MJF I wanted to make sure I could tell you that face to face, man to man.”
