MATCH OF CHAMPIONS...

AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson & AEW World Trios Champion Wheeler Yuta

vs.

AEW World Trios Champions Claudio Castagnoli & “The Bastard” PAC

This is an emotional one, the first official battle in a war started by Jon Moxley that has ripped the Blackpool Combat Club to shreds. Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli stand on one side, now with “The Bastard” PAC and Marina Shafir as allies, while AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta stand on the other. With Moxley and Danielson set to fight this Saturday night at WRESTLEDREAM 2024, their ouroboros-esque relationship is back to where it began at REVOLUTION 2022, but what about the two men who've trained alongside them for the last two-plus years? What about the fact that Yuta, Claudio, and PAC are the reigning World Trios Championship? How do they head into this fight tonight on DYNAMITE: TITLE TUESDAY 2024 with that weight on their shoulders?

There is something to Claudio Castagnoli's words, his promise that no matter what happens tonight in this tag match, he has Yuta's back, but perhaps his promise is bigger than the outcome of tonight's bout. Perhaps he's addressing Saturday night's World Title fight between Moxley and Danielson because the result of that fight could rend asunder any bond Yuta still feels towards Claudio or Moxley. There's been a consistent narrative from Moxley that this is bigger than anyone realizes, that there are larger reasons for the choices he and his allies have made, and they are clearly heavy enough to risk poisoning the well of the World Trios Champions relationship so soon after claiming the titles at ALL IN: LONDON 2024.

Last Wednesday night in Pittsburgh, Yuta took a stand against his championship partners and stared Jon Moxley in the face as the fans chanted his name. Yuta may have hesitated in that moment to use the hammer in his hand against Mox, but he did not hesitate to strike Claudio or make the challenge to this match here tonight. Will Wheeler feel the same drive to fight when the bell rings tonight, or will the words Claudio spoke to him on COLLISION echo inside his head? With WRESTLEDREAM 2024 so close, there is a lot on the line in this tag match tonight, and one has to wonder where Jon Moxley will be as this action goes down? Will he be at ringside with PAC and Claudio watching his PPV opponent? Joining commentary? Watching from afar to see how it all unfolds? As scary as the 3-Time AEW World Champion is generally, what's scarier is not knowing what he's going to do or where he will be...

DOUBLE TITLE MATCH...

TBS & NJPW STRONG Women's Champion Mercedes Moné vs. Emi Sakura

This past Saturday night on COLLISION, “The Brickhouse” Kamille and TBS/NJPW STRONG Women's Champion Mercedes Moné were a bit preoccupied with former TBS Champion Kris Statlander but they better get their focus on the task at hand or “The CEO” will be leaving Spokane with a lot less weight in her luggage while “The Queen” Emi Sakura adds it to hers!

That's because tonight during TITLE TUESDAY 2024, Mercedes will put both her NJPW STRONG Women's Championship and the TBS Championship on the line against the hard-hitting 29-year veteran as she makes her return to All Elite Wrestling! It's been nearly six months since we last saw Emi in AEW competition, coincidentally the same match where Yuka Sakazaki was injured and out for five months, but where Yuka was injured, Emi's absence was a result of her returning to Japan for competition in both Tokyo Joshi Pro and Gatoh Move/ChocoPro. Over the past few months Emi has faced foes like Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh, Mei Suruga, and Shoko Nakajima, not to mention both won and lost championship titles.

Now Emi returns to AEW competition with the goal of claiming something that's alluded her since FULL GEAR 2019 when she challenged Riho for the AEW Women's World Title, and that's winning a title in All Elite Wrestling! She participated in the 2021 Women's World Title Eliminator Tournament as part of the Japanese Bracket, and has faced Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, and Hikaru Shida in Eliminator contests but has yet to challenge for that title since 2019. Sakura also faced both Julia Hart and Kris Statlander in TBS Championship clashes but came up short in those, and even unsuccessfully challenged Athena for the ROH Women's World Title during HONOR CLUB #5.

All that being said, it is safe to say there is no woman in the AEW locker room more experienced than Emi Sakura and none as capable of turning any match into the match where she finally claims her crown. Will “The Queen” do so tonight at the expense of “The CEO”, or will messing with Moné leave Emi Sakura a bankrupt challenger?

AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT...

Card subject to change has certainly come into play with the AEW Women's World Championship picture! Originally Willow Nightingale was set to face Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. tonight with the winner moving on to a WRESTLEDREAM 2024 championship match against "The Glamour" Mariah May, but circumstances have forced a change to that scheduled.

Instead DYNAMITE: TITLE TUESDAY 2024 will see four former World Champions collide in an Eliminator bout with the winner moving on to Saturday's title fight on Tacoma!

It will be former AEW Women's World Champion Nyla Rose versus former AEW Women's World Champion Jamie Hayter versus former AEW Women's World Champion Saraya versus former TBS/NJPW STRONG/CMLL World Women's Champion Willow Nightingale all gunning for a shot at Mariah May and her championship!

Which of these former title holders will step into the ring Saturday and try to end "The Era of the Glamour"?

CALLING YOU OUT...

“The Human Suplex Machine” Taz has been retired from in-ring competition for 22 years now, his last match taking place when son HOOK was just 3 years old, meaning Taz's career as a broadcaster has endured longer than his time competing in-ring. During his wrestling days Taz was known as a vicious man, one as likely to drop you on your head as to choke you out, but that smashmouth style certainly took a toll on his body, as did a broken neck suffered in 1995 that was so severe the emergency room attendants on duty that night were astounded Taz walked in on his own power. Ultimately it was injuries and a desire to live a life with his family that led to Taz's retirement decision, and over the last three years he's gotten the opportunity to stand by his “Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil” of a son. During that time Taz has watched his son claim the FTW Championship he created on three occasions, and retire it just a few weeks ago after defeating Roderick Strong at DYNAMITE: GRAND SLAM 2024. He's watched HOOK grow as a man and an athlete, watched him fight very familiar faces like Samoa Joe and Chris Jericho, as well as team with others like Sting and Rob Van Dam.

Taz has been an unabashedly proud father, and perhaps that is why someone chose to target him as a message to HOOK rather than come after the young man himself. Taz said the attack perpetrated on him has led to total knee replacement surgery, while for HOOK it means a mission of vengeance. The 3-Time FTW Champion has challenge the perpetrator to show their face tonight on DYNAMITE: TITLE TUESDAY 2024, but will they have the courage to answer the challenge?

ONE-ON-ONE...

Hologram vs. Komander

For the first-time in All Elite Wrestling, two of the most exciting competitors going today will meet inside the squared circle one-on-one! We saw Komander and Hologram take part in a wild Four-Way contest on COLLISION this past Saturday, but this will be their first head-to-head meeting in AEW as well as Hologram's first time competing on DYNAMITE! Can he maintain his undefeated streak, or will Komander take advantage of this huge opportunity to make some headlines of his own?

DYNAMITE: TITLE TUESDAY 2024 comes your way at 9pm ET/8pm CT on TBS and around the world, featuring AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta facing Claudio Castagnoli & “The Bastard” PAC, Mercedes Moné defending both her titles against Emi Sakura, and much more! Before you check into TBS for DYNAMITE, make a point to visit AEW's official YouTube channel to watch highlights from recent editions of DYNAMITE, COLLISION, and RAMPAGE, then join us in Tacoma for WRESTLEDREAM 2024 on Saturday! After we see Bryan Danielson defend his AEW World Title against Jon Moxley and The Young Bucks defend their World Tag Titles against Private Party, AEW heads to San Jose, CA and the SAP Center for DYNAMITE on October 16th!
