Tony Schiavone and Excalibur were the commentators for the Buy In portion of FULL GEAR.

The Buy-In Preshow kicked off with NWA World Women’s Champion Serena Deeb putting her title up against former champ Allysin Kay!

“Deeb won the title and defended it the next night on DYNAMITE,” said Excalibur.

“Yeah, that says a lot about her work ethic,” replied Tony Schiavone.

Deeb got a top wristlock and drove Kay to the mat. These two women were former tag partners, so they’re very familiar with one another, noted the commentators. Deeb wrenched Kay’s knee with a dragon screw leg lock. Deeb attempted the Serenity Lock but Kay grabbed the bottom rope, forcing a ref break. Kay hammered the champ after a double leg takedown, then followed up with overhand chops. Deeb blasted Kay with a hanging neck breaker from the middle rope. Kay rallied back with a big boot to Deeb for a near fall on the champ. Kay escaped a flying octopus hold from Deeb by planting her with a powerbomb type maneuver! Kay nailed Deeb with a spinebuster for a two-count. Kay went for her AK-47 but Serena Deeb rolled out of the ring. Deeb got back in the ring and went back to working over Kay’s knee. Deeb applied the Serenity Lock, forcing Kay to tap out!

Thunder Rosa came to the ring after the match, pointing at Deeb’s championship, staking her claim for a rematch against Deeb!

Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone and Excalibur were the broadcast team for the main card.

Impact’s Don Callis joined them for the opening match…

The Finals of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament—“Hangman” Adam Page vs. Kenny Omega!

“I saw Page about ten minutes ago and he looked a bit edgy…maybe that’s good. I don’t see that as a weakness,” said Jim Ross.

Kenny offered a handshake but Page ignored it. Kenny went for a V-Trigger but Page dodged it and chopped “the Cleaner” right in the throat. Kenny caught page with a snap-rana. Page booted back at Kenny and followed up with a fallaway slam!

“Page has a power advantage, but Kenny’s power comes from his ability to explode,” noted Don Callis, who called many of Kenny’s great matches in Japan.

The match quickly escalated to the arena floor. Page sent Kenny crashing into the barricade. Page attempted to do it again but Kenny leapt over the barricade, landed on the retaining bar, and then flipped back with a moonsault on Page!

They traded stiff chops, but Page knocked Kenny off the apron with a lariat from the second turnbuckle. Kenny came back with a tope con hiro on the “Hangman,” but it was clear that Omega’s knee was tweaked.

“Big match experience is a key in this match, because there’s so much anxiety in this one,” said Jim Ross.

Kenny went for a one-winged angel but Page countered it by trying for his own. Kenny wiggled out of it and connected with a V-Trigger. Kenny tried to powerbomb Page on the ramp, but Page took away Omega’s momentum with his own powerbomb to Omega. He pulled Kenny into the ring and planted Kenny with a pop-up powerbomb! Page starched Omega with a rolling elbow but Kenny grabbed “Hangman” and spiked him with Tiger Driver 98! Omega hit a discus lariat and then a snapdragon suplex on Page, but Page fired back with the Dead Eye for a two-count on “the Cleaner”! Omega fought back with a V-Trigger hitting right on the mark, and then the One-Winged Angel, and then he pinned Page!

“Omega is right back in the title picture with that win,” said Jim Ross.

“Extremely physical match, and extremely important win in the career of Kenny Omega,” added Excalibur.

Following this was “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy vs. John “4” Silver of the Dark Order!

“John Silver rolls deep,” said Excalibur, as the Dark Order walked out on the ramp as Silver was introduced by Justin Roberts.

Cassidy put his hands in his pockets, while Silver begged and pleaded for him not to do it. Cassidy took down Silver with a dropkick (with his hands in his pockets, of course). John Silver tore the pockets out of Orange’s pants.

“He’s channeling Bugsy McGraw,” said Jim Ross.

Silver tossed Orange halfway across the ring and then posed and flexed. Silver blocked a swinging DDT from Orange by squatting, and then he suplexed Orange down to the mat. Silver sent Orange into the corner with a mean Irish whip! Cassidy finally countered Silver with a diving crossbody block and then his swinging DDT for a near fall on Silver!

“Quicken the pace, force the powerhouse to make a mistake—Orange Cassidy has the right idea,” said Jim Ross.

Silver gorilla pressed Cassidy with one arm! Cassidy used a spin-doctor reversal for a near fall on Silver! He went for the orange punch but Silver avoided it and nailed Cassidy with stiff kicks. Silver planted Orange with the spin-doctor for a near fall! Silver shouted out Mr. Brodie by signaling for the discus lariat, but Orange moved and blasted him with the beach breaker, pinning John Silver!

Our next match was for the TNT Title—Champ “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes (with Brandi Rhodes, Arn Anderson, and the rest of the Nightmare Family) vs. Darby Allin!

Darby smashed a car with a skateboard as he made his entrance. The hood of the car had graffiti spray-painted on it that read: “The Face of TNT.”

Cody tried to exert his athletic dominance over Darby at the start of the match. Darby used a standing switch and then slapped Cody Rhodes in the back of the head. Cody rolled out of the ring to reset and get advice from Arn Anderson, who told Cody to muscle Darby around.

From the hammerlock position, Cody hurled Darby out of the ring, right onto the ramp! Cody upped the ante in the ring by applying a top wristlock, and then a stomp to Darby’s left arm. Cody hip tossed Darby and applied more pressure on Darby’s wrist with scissors. Cody used an avalanche shoulder breaker on Darby for a two-count! Cody tried for a moonsault but Darby was one step ahead and moved out of the way! Darby followed up with a Yoshi Tonic for a two-count on Cody! Frustrated, Cody crushed Darby with an avalanche CrossRhodes! He attempted to pin Darby, but Darby’s arm was beneath the bottom rope, out of bounds because it broke the plane, so the ref stopped the count at two!

Cody tried for the disaster kick but Darby countered with last supper, but Cody kicked out. Darby hit a stunner and then the coffin drop onto Cody, but Cody kicked out at two! Darby and Cody countered pinning attempts from one another, but Darby rolled Cody up and scored the victory!

“You can be shocked all you want, but Darby Allin earned every bit of this! Back and forth they went, but it was Darby in the end,” said Tony Schiavone.

The fans chanted, “You deserve it!” and Cody Rhodes presented the belt to Darby.

And new TNT Champion Darby Allin!

Taz distracted Darby and Cody from the ramp while “the Machine” Brian Cage and “Absolute” Ricky Starks attacked them from behind! Will Hobbs chased away Team Taz before they smash Darby’s arm in a car door.

Shida ran on the outside of the ring, looking to spring off a steel chair, but Nyla hit a clothesline. Nyla wanted to swing the chair at Shida but the ref stopped her. As Nyla was arguing with ref Aubrey Edwards, Shida jumped off another chair with a knee to Nyla Rose’s face. When Shida had her back turned, Vickie Guerrero swung the Singapore cane at Shida’s legs. Nyla sat out with a senton but Shida dodged it! Shida got a two-count on Nyla after a vertical suplex! Shida came in with a running knee strike but Nyla blocked it! Nyla rag dolled Shida for a two-count on the champ. Nyla hoisted Shida up and set her on the top rope, and then jumped from the top with a knee across the back of Shida’s head!
