ONE-ON-ONE...

Darby Allin vs. The Butcher

It's been over two years since the last time Darby Allin and The Butcher went one-on-one inside the squared circle, the March 18, 2022 edition of RAMPAGE to be exact, and that night Allin survived with a count out victory after delivering a Coffin Drop to Butch from the top turnbuckle to the floor below. That match was itself a rematch of their HOUSE ALWAYS WINS TNT Championship fight from a year prior in Jacksonville, a shot Butcher earned after winning a Battle Royale earlier in the night, but not one that led to championship success for the behemoth.

Around those two singles bouts Darby and The Butcher have met in tags and trios, as well as been mutual participants in several battle royal situations, but no other singles contest. Just as with Yuta and Romero, that all changes tonight in Winston-Salem when the two go head-to-head as Darby prepares for his ALL IN: LONDON 2024 TNT Title fight with “The Scapegoat” Jack Perry.

Since being cleared to fight shortly before Blood & Guts, Darby has been competing like a madman; it started with The Beast Mortos on July 20th, then was followed by Blood & Guts on July 24th, winning Royal Rampage on July 26th to earn a World Championship bout at GRAND SLAM 2024, defeating Hangman Page on July 31st, and teaming with FTR and Mark Briscoe for a victory on August 3rd. Darby's been through hell for the last few weeks, but he aims to keep going through it until he gets his hands on Jack Perry, and more importantly, redeems the TNT Title.

While the light of victory has not shone down upon The Butcher like it has Darby, he's been very active himself as of late, and against top-level competition such as Minoru Suzuki, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, and also as a participant in that Royal Rampage won by Darby. Having to go it alone these last few months while The Blade recovers from injury, Butcher has garnered quite a bit of experience that he'd otherwise never have gotten, but still needs to find that key to turning the lessons learned into matches won.

Tonight on RAMPAGE he aims to be the roadblock on Darby Allin's road to ALL IN: LONDON 2024, and perhaps if he's successful in that endeavor, The Butcher will emerge as the next TNT Title contender should Darby overcome “The Scapegoat” at Wembley Stadium!

SINGLES CONTEST...

The BCC's Wheeler Yuta vs. Rocky Romero

It's been three years since the first head-to-head clash between Rocky Romero and Blackpool Combat Club's own Wheeler Yuta, and in the time since Romero's NJPW STRONG victory that night, the two men have been allies, they have been enemies, but they've never had a singles rematch until now!

Tonight on RAMPAGE, as Wheeler Yuta prepares to fight AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland on DYNAMITE, the two competitors meet again for their first singles battle in All Elite Wrestling! Yuta's training under The BCC banner has been intense, especially since returning from injury several months back, and given the familiarity Bryan Danielson has with Romero from their bouts in ROH, Japan, and shared time in the old New Japan LA Dojo, it's a certainty that “The American Dragon” has been very hand's on prepping Yuta for this fight.

HEAD-TO-HEAD...

The Outcasts' Saraya vs. “The Native Beast” Nyla Rose

Those words were spoken by former AEW Women's World Champion prior to Harley Cameron's defeat at Nyla Rose's hands last week on RAMPAGE, but as brief as they were, they spoke volumes about what finding her way to ALL IN: LONDON 2024 means to Saraya. A year ago she claimed that title in front of family and friends inside Wembley Stadium but this year, after failing to advance past the Quarterfinals of the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament, Saraya finds herself on the outside looking in without a road back.

Based on her words, it seems that rather than try to travel on an existing road, Saraya will pave one of her own, and that begins tonight on RAMPAGE when she gets into the ring for the very first time with “The Native Beast” Nyla Rose! Rose, who notched a Women's Division record 102nd win at Harley Cameron's expense last week, is also looking for her own way to potentially compete inside that historic venue, which means every single match is crucial over the next several weeks!

Which former Women's World Champion will leave North Carolina with the victory and perhaps get one step closer to seeing the inside of Wembley Stadium in 2024?
