ROYAL RAMPAGE...

***WINNER EARNS A TNT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH AT ALL OUT 2023***

Angelo Parker, Big Bill, Bishop Kaun, Brian Cage, Brother Zay, Darby Allin, Ethan Page, Jake Hager, Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, Komander, Matt Hardy, Matt Menard, Matt Sydal, Minoru Suzuki, Nick Wayne, Swerve Strickland, The Blade, The Butcher, & Toa Liona

Last year's Royal Rampage saw Brody King choke out Darby Allin to win the battle and secure himself a shot at Jon Moxley's Interim AEW World Championship, and although King wasn't victorious in that battle, it went a long way toward establishing his bona fides in All Elite Wrestling as a solo threat as well as being one alongside The House of Black.

This Friday night in Boston, the Royal Rampage returns to All Elite Wrestling, but this time, to the victor goes a TNT Championship opportunity at ALL OUT 2023! There's plenty at play in this fracas with the competitors involved, Darby is the only former TNT Champion involved, a half-dozen others have previously challenged for the TNT Championship before, and then there are all the interpersonal issues going on. Swerve is directly responsible for Darby and Orange Cassidy losing their Blind Eliminator bout to Garcia and Guevara, not to mention his general history with Darby, and how he beat Nick Wayne in the young man's debut match. Then you've got the issues going on between Matt Hardy, Ethan Page, Jeff Jarrett, and Jay Lethal, plus there's plenty of bad blood between Ethan and Darby dating back years, and that's only some of the problems among these competitors.

Statistically The Butcher and The Blade are the kings of Battle Royals in AEW, with Butch along having 20 career eliminations, and the two combining for 32 of them. The Butcher even won a TNT Championship shot during Darby's first reign when he won the Battle Royale at THE HOUSE ALWAYS WINS event in April 2021. Jeff Jarrett has won nine of these over the course of his career, making him the most successful man in this match in these situations, but when there's monsters like Big Bill, Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona involved, the fight to victory gets even harder!

So who will have the endurance this Friday night on RAMPAGE? Who will stave off their own elimination long enough to come out with a guaranteed championship bid on September 3rd at ALL OUT 2023?

TBS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH...

Kris Statlander(c) vs. “The Problem” Marina Shafir

Kris Statlander, ever since defeating Jade Cargill for the TBS Championship, has proven herself willing to take on all challengers in any city. In just over 50 days, she's defended her title six times, and done it on DYNAMITE, on COLLISION, and during the HOUSE RULES events in Alabama and Mississippi.

That fighting ethos comes into play this Friday night on RAMPAGE when, for the first time since DARK #121 back on December 14th of 2021, Statlander will step into the ring with “The Problem” Marina Shafir! Though these are not two women with a great deal of interpersonal baggage, it should be noted that Shafir's AEW debut took place that December night when she lost to Statlander after a six and a half minute fight. So for Shafir, while taking on this fight is largely about becoming the TBS Champion, it is also just a bit about showing Statlander how far she's come as a competitors since that fight nearly two years ago.

Can Shafir finally achieve the thing that's avoided her since that first match on DARK, can she become a champion in All Elite Wrestling and ruin Statlander's amazing comeback from injury in the process? Or will Kris continue to demonstrate her dominance as TBS Champion, and move onto the next woman willing to step up to the challenge?

TRIOS ACTION...

The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) and Daddy Ass vs. QTV (Aaron Solo, Johnny TV, and QT Marshall

Last Saturday night, The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass came to BATTLE OF THE BELTS VII and told the world about the two things on their horizon. One was an AEW World Trios Championship rematch against The House of Black this Saturday night on COLLISION, live on TNT from Newark, NJ, and the other was a Trios fight with QTV going down this Friday night on RAMPAGE!

Harley, QT, Solo, and Johnny TV have been thorns in the side of the former AEW World Tag Champs and Billy Gunn for the last several weeks, but they've the opportunity to shut them down on Friday and focus on becoming the new Trios Champions! And absolute focus is what these men will need if they hope to dethrone The House, for their sake hopefully the QTV contingent don't put a damper on the preparations for that fight by snatching a victory over Billy, Anthony, and Max!

RAMPAGE drops this Friday night at 10:00pm ET/9:00pm CT, as well as at AEWPlus.com for AEW's international fans, and features the return of the Royal Rampage where the winner earns a TNT Championship bout at ALL OUT 2023 as The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass take on QTV in trios competition! Plus, “The Problem” Marina Shafir looks to finally become a champion when she answers the Open Challenge of TBS Champion Kris Statlander! All that, and more, comes to you this Friday night so before the night begins, stop be the official AEW YouTube channel for highlights from this week's episode of DYNAMITE, as well as previous episodes of RAMPAGE and COLLISION, plus the latest edition of CONTROL CENTER, and more!
