It's Friday the 13th, and though it's often thought of as a day for bad luck, tonight it's a great one for fans of All Elite Wrestling because it's time for another exciting edition of RAMPAGE! Coming off two huge Continental Classic battles on DYNAMITE, Adam Cole pinning Kyle O'Reilly to earn a shot at MJF and the Dynamite Diamond Ring at WORLDS END 2024, and learning AEW World Champion Jon Moxley will face Orange Cassidy, Jay White, and Hangman Page at that December 28th pay-per-view event! We also saw Toni Storm return to the AEW stage after Mariah May's championship victory over Mina Shirakawa with no visible traces of “Timeless” to be seen, as well as see a bit of a confrontation between Top Flight, Action Andretti/Lio Rush, and AEW World Tag Team Champions Private Party.
Tonight during AEW's Friday night delight you will see Toni Storm return to AEW competition for the first time since ALL IN: LONDON 2024's title loss to Mariah May, as well as see The Don Callis Family of AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita and “The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer take on Powerhouse Hobbs and Mark Davis! Plus, “The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo will be in action, and as we heard during DYNAMITE: WINTER IS COMING 2024, “The Complete” Matt Cardona has challenged “Bad Apple” Bryan Keith to a fight tonight!
AEW fans can get themselves psyched up for it all with a visit to AEW's official YouTube channel to watch highlights from DYNAMITE, as well as previous editions of RAMPAGE and COLLISION! Then join us Saturday night on TNT following the NBA for a COLLISION showcasing two Continental Classic Blue League bouts as well as Willow Nightingale and Jamie Hayter battling it out to see who will move on to WRESTLE DYNASTY 2025 at the Tokyo Dome on January 5th and the International Women's Cup!
TAG TEAM MAIN EVENT!
The Don Callis Family (AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita & Lance Archer)
vs.
Powerhouse Hobbs & Mark Davis
The Don Callis Family has to be living high on the hog at this moment in time given that they've got the reigning AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita in their camp, and they're watching “The Protostar” Will Ospreay dominate the 2024 Continental Classic as the only man in either League with 9 points to his name, potentially 12 depending on the outcome of his COLLISION contest with Mark Briscoe tomorrow night.
That being said, tonight on RAMPAGE Callis and his ilk have a difficult task ahead of them as Takeshita and “The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer compete in tag team action for the first time against another nascent duo in Powerhouse Hobbs and Mark Davis! As a former member of The DCF, Hobbs has a bit of insight into how things are done in that camp, and that could prove the crucial key when dealing with two athletes the caliber of “The Alpha” and “The Murderhawk Monster”.
Both Hobbs and Davis have plenty of reasons for wanting to take a piece of out The Don Callis Family, but can they accomplish that goal tonight on RAMPAGE, or will Don's inevitable machinations prove more than this pair can handle?
LIVE AND IN LIVING COLOR!
Toni Storm vs. Harley Cameron
We have not seen 3-Time AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm in All Elite Wrestling since her ALL IN: LONDON 2024 loss to “The Glamour” Mariah May, and many were questioning whether we'd ever see her again in any wrestling ring after losing to IWGP Women's Champion Mayu Iwatani on October 5th during a Stardom event and La Catalina in CMLL on October 18th. It was just a month ago in an interview for SBNation “Timeless” told the world that AEW was doing just fine without her, that she was done with pro wrestling, and signed off by saying “Chin down. Tits in. Don’t bother watching for the shoe.”
It certainly seemed like Toni Storm was done with the mat wars after that interview, yet this past Wednesday night on DYNAMITE: WINTER IS COMING 2024 she returned to the AEW stage at the conclusion of AEW Women's World Champion Mariah May's victory over Mina Shirakawa. It was certainly shocking to “The Glamour”, as well as to Thunder Rosa who watched the match from ringside with some decidedly unflattering anti-Mariah signs in her possession, and the fact she arrived with no hint of “Timeless” in her appearance certainly begs the question of just where Toni is at right now. She almost seemed to have tears in her eyes when she walked out in front of the AEW faithful, certainly leaving all to wonder just what was going through her head at that exact moment as she looked out over the Kansas City crowd and her former protégé standing in the ring.
Perhaps tonight on RAMPAGE, as Toni returns to the ring for her first AEW match since August 25th, we will garner a little more insight into where her head is at and what her intentions are now that the 3-Time AEW Women's World Champion is apparently back in action!
FINAL BATTLE 2024 PREVIEW...
“The Complete” Matt Cardona vs. “Bad Apple” Bryan Keith
FINAL BATTLE 2024 is just one week away, airing exclusively on Honor Club, and we know that night Matt Cardona will make his ROH in-ring debut facing “The Nueve” Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship! It's a huge milestone moment for Cardona as he finally gets to wrestle for one of the promotions that inspired him to chase his wrestling dreams in the first place, as well as for ROH given it's been 5+ years since an event has hailed from the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC!
Last night, during ROH ON HONOR CLUB, Jericho and Cardona made the match official with a contract signing, but as these things tend to go in pro wrestling, “The Nueve” ended up crashing down through a table placed in the ring for the occasion. This came after Cardona issued a challenge to “Bad Apple” Bryan Keith on Wednesday night's edition of DYNAMITE to meet him inside the squared circle tonight on RAMPAGE!
Now Chris Jericho, the self-proclaimed “King of New York” has promised to be ringside for commentary on this bout, but after what happened last night during HONOR CLUB, what condition will the 2-Time ROH World Champ be in while he's on the call?
ALSO FEATURING:
“The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo in action!
