Last night, while AEW RAMPAGE and ROH's DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2024 event were going down, former AEW World Trios Champions Death Triangle were in Mexico making their debut for CMLL. In the main event of the VIERNES ESPECTACULR event at Arena Mexico, Mascara Dorada, Mistico, and Volador Jr. welcomed the AEW trio to the promotion with a Two Out Of Three Falls Tag match. For “The Bastard” this was his debut in CMLL while for The Lucha Brothers it was their first time back there since January 2019, and what a tremendous night it was until the third fall.
After splitting the first two falls, the third nearly came to an end with Volador Jr. and Mascara Dorada pinning the Lucha Brothers, but PAC broke up the pinfall, kicked both CMLL competitors in the groin, ripped off Dorada's mask to get disqualified, and collectively assaulted the CMLL contingent on their home turf!
Quite the auspicious Trios debut for Death Triangle in CMLL; one can't help but wonder with “The Bastard” PAC scheduled for competition tonight on COLLISION against Lio Rush, what repercussions, if any, will result from Death Triangle's actions?
