This Saturday AEW presented three straight hours of elite action on the PATH TO AEW ALL IN: SUMMER SERIES! Tonight’s episode of AEW COLLISION & BATTLE OF THE BELTS XI was broadcast live on TNT from the Esports Stadium in Arlington, TX!
It’s Saturday night and you know what that means!
Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.
“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy vs. Johnny TV (with Taya Valkyrie)!
Orange dodged a series of round kicks from Johnny and then put Johnny’s own sunglasses on. Johnny TV was furious and went outside the ring to try to have Taya calm him down. Orange wasted no time with a tope suicida to Johnny TV outside.
Johnny TV came back with a Russian Leg sweep on Orange. Orange rolled out of the way of a standing moonsault from Johnny. More frustrated now, Johnny wrenched on Orange’s arm, using the guardrail for leverage. Johnny jumped off the middle rope, using it as a springboard, and then connected with a kick to Orange’s head. Johnny followed up with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall.
Cassidy cracked Johnny out of nowhere with a Stun dog millionaire and then a spinning DDT for a two-count on Johnny! Johnny TV countered with a swinging neck breaker. Orange dodged the Starship Pain. Johnny grabbed Orange and put him in another neck breaker and then crashed onto Orange with the Starship Pain, but Orange kicked out!
Orange stunned Johnny with the Beach Break and then the Orange Punch and scored the pin! After the match, Johnny TV blindsided Orange. Taya began to stomp on Orange until CMLL World Women’s Champ Willow Nightingale ran down to help her tag partner, Orange. Johnny and Taya quickly retreated to the back!
The Bang Bang Gang were backstage with words for the Patriarchy!
Juice Robinson: “We don’t cry over spilled milk. Mother Wayne, you screwed the pooch last week when you climbed up to the ring and sprayed me in the eyes with that aerosol can!”
Austin: “Christian, you’re going to have to answer to the Bang Bang Gang!”
Colten: “This is our show! We’re the Collision Cowboys, and if you’re not down with that, we have two words for you: guns up!”
3-Way Tag Team Match!
ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty (with Shane Taylor) & “The Machine” Brian Cage
vs.
Blackpool Combat Club’s Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli
vs.
Top Flight—Dante & Darius Martin (with Action Andretti)!
Top Flight hit tandem offense on Claudio. The Infantry—Carlie Bravo and Shawn Dean—were watching this match closely backstage. “The Machine” Brian Cage tagged in and planted Dante with a full nelson slam.
Claudio got the hot tag and cleaned house on Cage and Moriarty! Claudio jumped on Lee with a double foot stomp for a near fall! Claudio hurled Lee around the ring with the Giant Swing! Darius grabbed a blind tag from Claudio. Darius face planted Lee and went for the cover, but Wheeler jumped in to break up the pin.
Cage and Claudio traded forearms in the center of the ring. Top Flight knocked both Cage and Claudio out of the ring with a double thrust kick. They followed up with tope suicidas to Claudio and Cage! Lee shot thru the ropes with a tope to Dante, but Darius was there with a PK to wipe out Lee.
Lee Moriarty climbed to the top rope and nailed Darius with a double stomp, but Yuta grabbed a blind tag on Lee. Yuta wrapped up Darius in the seat belt and stole the pin out from the grasp of Lee Moriarty!
“Wheeler avenging what happened to him last night,” said Tony Schiavone.
The Beast Mortos vs. Hologram!
The fans chanted “Hologram! Hologram!”
The Beast Mortos power slammed Hologram. The Beast Mortos charged at Hologram with a big pounce! Hologram booted the Beast with a pump kick. Hologram drilled the Beast Mortos with a Canadian Destroyer on the apron! Hologram jumped off the top rope and flipped onto the Beast Mortos on the arena floor!
Hologram rocketed out of the ring with a tope suicida! Back in the ring, Hologram spiked the Beast Mortos with a poison rana for a near fall!
The Beast Mortos power bombed Hologram onto his knee and then clubbed Hologram with a lariat for a near fall!
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Mortos tried to slam Hologram off the top, but Hologram countered with a hurracanrana! Hologram finished the Beast Mortos with a crucifix bomb and scored the victory via pinfall!
“This man is a star!” said Nigel.
Thunder Rosa vs. Maya World!
Thunder Rosa took down Maya with an arm drag. Thunder Rosa followed up with dropkicks to Maya World. Maya slapped Thunder Rosa in the face and taunted her. Thunder Rosa chopped back and then grounded and pounded Maya after a Thesz Press.
Thunder Rosa double stomped Maya. Thunder Rosa applied a version of the camel clutch and forced Maya World to tap out!
“Creative submission on the part of Thunder Rosa,” said Nigel.
Backstage, “The MurderHawk Monster” decimated multiple men, slamming them against the wall and into one another!
Archer said this Wednesday on Dynamite, he was going to brutalize “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay!
Trios Match!
Premier Athletes—Ariya Daivari, Josh Woods, & Tony Nese (with “Smart” Mark Sterling)
vs.
The Conglomeration—Tomohiro Ishii, Kyle O’Reilly, & ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe!
Ariya tripped up Kyle, pulled him out of the ring, and he and Josh double teamed Kyle. Mark Briscoe grabbed a steel chair and used it as a launching pad, flipping over the top rope and landing on the Premier Athletes, wiping them out!
Briscoe used his redneck kung fu in the ring on Nese! Briscoe blasted Nese with a brain buster for a near fall! Mark went for the Jay Driller but Mark Sterling jumped on the apron, distracting him long enough for Nese to smash Mark with a jaw breaker.
Woods hurled the three members of the Conglomeration across the ring, dishing out suplexes to them. Ishii bulldozed Woods with a lariat and then knocked Sterling off the apron with another lariat! Kyle grabbed an arm bar on Woods and made Woods tap out!
FTW Champion “The Learning Tree” Chris Jericho had words for Suzuki after their match on Dynamite!
Jericho said his finger was broken! “It’s going to be very hard to wave at all the branches, and then Shibata came back. Suzuki, I’m not through with you yet and I’m going to break two of your fingers. But Shibata, now that you’re back, the Learning Tree, the Bad Apple, and the Redwood are going to come for you!”
“The MurderHawk Monster” Lance Archer chased his opponent down the ramp!
Archer choke slammed his opponent two times. After a brutal Black Out, he planted his opponent and pinned him in a quick tune-up match before his bout with Will Ospreay this Wednesday on Dynamite!
FTR—Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler
vs.
MxM Collection— “The Sultan of Suave” Mansoor & Mason Madden!
Mansoor knocked down Dax with a shoulder block. Cash tagged in and nailed Mansoor with a flying shoulder, slingshotting himself off the top rope. Mansoor tagged out to the massive Mason Madden.
Madden battered Cash with body shots in the corner. Mansoor and Dax tagged in for their respective teams. FTR were looking for the Shatter Machine, but Madden grabbed Mansoor and pulled him out of the ring.
Madden headbutted Cash. Mansoor cradled Cash for a near fall. Cash escaped and catapulted Mansoor into the turnbuckles. FTR finally put Mansoor in the Shatter Machine and pinned Mansoor after a miscalculation from Madden!
Collision Main Event Time!
Lio Rush vs. “The Bastard” PAC!
Pac rocked Rush with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Lio retaliated with kicks to Pac’s midsection. “The Bastard” Pac fired back with a running elbow. Lio blocked a German Suplex by holding onto the ropes.
Lio Rush rammed Pac into the steel ring post. Rush rocketed out of the ring with a tope suicida, hitting Pac like a torpedo! Rush nailed Pac with a Falcon Arrow for a near fall!
Pac folded up Lio with a German Suplex out of nowhere. Lio staggered to stand but lured Pac in with a poison rana and then a cutter for a two-count! Lio tried for a frog splash, but Pac countered by lifting his knees into Lio’s ribs. Pac smashed Lio with a lariat and then forced Lio to tap once Pac applied the Brutalizer!
BATTLE OF THE BELTS XI began!
AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Match!
“Timeless” Toni Storm (c.)
vs.
Taya Valkyrie!
Ian Riccaboni joined Tony and Nigel on commentary for Battle of the Belts.
Toni took down Taya with a Thesz Press and grounded and pounded her with left and right fists! Storm smashed Taya with a running hip attack. Outside the ring, Taya lured Toni into the steel ring steps and charged at Toni with the meteora.
Storm rallied back with a hip attack in the ring. Toni spiked Taya with a DDT for a near fall. Taya slid beneath Storm and the bottom rope and nailed Toni with a German Suplex. Taya connected with Shania Pain and covered Toni, but Toni was too close to the ropes and put her boot up to break the pin. Toni stunned Taya with the Storm Zero and picked up the pinfall victory!
Toni Storm: “First things first. This tramp is still the champ! Mariah May, you were perfect. You were all my dreams come to life. And sometimes you were even a better me than I was. But Mariah, you made one miniscule mistake because when you had me on my knees, crying, screaming, bleeding, and screaming your name, you should have cut my bloody head off!”
Lexy Nair interviewed Kip Sabian backstage!
Sabian: “As everyone is aware, I lost my father and the last four months have been a roller coaster ride. But what’s important to me is to be the best wrestler I can be. Nick Wayne, I saw you in that Royal Rampage and you had a pretty good showing until you stepped up to me and I eliminated me. You know where to find me and I’m better than ever!
CMLL World Women’s Championship Eliminator Match!
Willow Nightingale (c.) vs. “The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo!
Willow picked up Deonna with ease and body slammed her. Willow followed up with a running cross body for a near fall. Deonna lured Willow in and attacked Willow’s arm.
Willow fired back with a power bomb for a near fall. Willow hit a snap suplex. Willow climbed to the top turnbuckle, but Deonna pulled her down hard. Willow drilled Deonna with a Death Valley Driver, but Deonna kicked out at the two-count.
Willow put Deonna on the top turnbuckle and superplexed Deonna. Willow walloped Deonna with a running lariat! Taya Valkyrie walked down the ramp to the ring. Taya tried to hand Deonna a turnbuckle, but Thunder Rosa sprinted down and grabbed Taya by the waist! Taya and Thunder Rosa brawled around ringside.
The champ pounced Deonna! Willow planted Deonna with the Babe with the Powerbomb and pinned Deonna!
This Wednesday on Dynamite it’ll be champ Willow Nightingale facing former best friend Kris Statlander in a CMLL World Women’s Championship Eliminator Match!
ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships Match!
The Undisputed Kingdom—Roderick Strong & ROH World Tag Team Champs Mike Bennett & Matt Taven
vs.
“The Natural” Dustin Rhodes & The Von Erichs—Ross & Marshall (with the legendary Kevin Von Erich)!
ROH Board of Directors member Paul Wight joined commentary for this match.
Marshall hip tossed Mike Bennett. Taven tagged in and Marshall hip tossed him too! The Von Erichs hit tandem offense on Taven. Marshall connected with a standing moonsault and then a dropkick to Taven!
Ross rocked Roddy with a sling blade. Dustin tagged in and drilled Bennett with lariats. Dustin power slammed Roddy. Dustin drilled Taven with a bulldog! Dustin followed up with a Canadian Destroyer on Taven! Dustin nailed Bennett with the Cross Rhodes and then a pile driver. Dustin went for the cover, but Roddy and Taven broke up the pin attempt.
The Undisputed Kingdom triple teamed Dustin with a flurry of offense! Roddy and Matt grabbed the title belts. Ref Aubrey Edwards intercepted them, but as she was distracted by that, Taven smashed the cowbell into Dustin’s skull for a near fall!
Shibata ran to the ring and applied the Iron Claw on Taven. Kevin put Roderick in the Iron Claw! Marshall and Ross battered Bennett with a knee strike and a discus lariat! Dustin planted Bennett and scored the pin!
New Ring of Honor Six-Man Tag Team Champions… “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes & The Von Erichs!
